HillView Care Ashmore was established over 25 years ago, a premium home with a specially selected medical team. Our Merrimac home followed soon a erwards, the location of which was selected due to it’s expansive views, and proximity to major shopping centres, hospitals, beaches, and the motorway.

Do as li le or as much as you choose at HillView Care, there are always activities and outings taking place, and plenty of quiet spaces to enjoy a good book, great co ee or time with friends and loved ones who come to visit.

Nestled amongst the trees directly behind Southport and Surfers Paradise lies HillView Care Ashmore, a small colonial inspired 40 bed residence conveniently located just 10 minutes drive to the M1, within easy reach from Brisbane and surrounding areas.

HillView Ashmore provides residents with the highest standard in aged care in a friendly environment designed to make them feel right at home.

You will not find a team more passionate and dedicated to providing excellent care. We respect our residents’ preferences and support their independence.

Our residents enjoy premium hotellike services, home-cooked food (fully prepared and cooked on-site), and organised events and activities they can participate in. All rooms are airconditioned and o er a connection to WiFi, Foxtel, and a personal phone line.

We have gardens to stroll through, inviting lounges, private dining rooms, recreation rooms and a hairdressing salon.

Each room has ornate detailing, a leafy outlook and double French doors that open onto a covered outdoor area on a verandah or in front of a garden. These external spaces provide a peaceful se ing to relax or chat with friends and visitors.

The quality of our rooms and communal spaces, makes HillView Ashmore feel more like a quality hotel than an aged care facility.

HillView Care Merrimac can be found in an elevated green pocket of the Gold Coast, directly behind Broadbeach. We overlook Lakelands Golf Course, with views stretching to the iconic Gold Coast skyline. Just 10 minutes from major shopping centres, beaches, hospitals and the M1.

My home

HillView Care Merrimac is an architecturally designed 134-bed home. Each floor, except level 3, features generous, sweeping verandahs.

We o er a range of room types and sizes, including twin rooms that cater for couples, studios and single rooms. We also o er respite rooms for short term stays as well as a secure memory care unit. All of our rooms come complete with a private en-suite, living area, large built-in wardrobe, and a generous feature window or sliding door to capture our beautiful views. Most rooms also open onto a verandah or terrace.

Our residents enjoy premium hotelstyle services, delicious homecooked nutritious food and a range of fun organised events and activities they can participate in.

On-site is our cosy café with great views, a real social hub for our residents and their family and friends. The co ee is good too!

Respite Care

Respite care is temporary aged care, an ideal solution for Carers seeking a short break but wanting peace of mind that their loved one will receive the best care and support in their absence. Respite care is also suitable for post hospital care, providing temporary support before returning home. Respite care residents receive all the benefits of a permanent resident, ensuring they feel right at home.

Residential Care

We are here for you, when you are no longer able to live independently at home. HillView Care provides a warm friendly home with 24 hour on-site nursing care with all the comforts of home, including your own private room with en-suite, delicious home-cooked meals, in-room technology, and lifestyle activities. You stay in charge of how you run your day and how you’re cared for, just like you would have if living in your own home. Medication and aged care services are provided in the privacy of your room and the HillView team enable and encourage each resident to remain as independent as possible.

Dementia Care

The HillView Care team comprises carefully selected, highly qualified and regularly trained sta who are loyal and genuinely passionate about caring for others. They form strong bonds with our residents and take a very respectful and personalised approach to care. Their clear focus is on what’s best for each individual. With your help, our team gain an understanding of each residents’ life experiences and interests. This helps us to care for them in the best possible way. We understand how challenging this time can be for you and your loved one. Our care team help families to understand dementia and enjoy quality time with their loved one.

Palliative Care

No two people are the same, which is why HillView cares for residents with life threatening illness based on their individual needs. We ensure our residents have choices about how they are cared for and supported, just like they would have if they were living in their own home. We also do everything possible to protect the dignity and independence of our residents. Medication is given in the privacy of their own room and our team support them to remain as active and involved in our community as they choose.

HillView care communities are privately owned by Dr Stephen Rackemann, a medical specialist dedicated to achieving excellence in care and supporting the wellbeing of his residents. Private ownership gives HillView the flexibility to change and adapt more quickly and to o er a very personalised service.

Accreditation

HillView Care is a fully accredited and Government funded aged care provider. Accreditation covers areas such as management, sta ng, health and personal care, resident lifestyle, living environment, catering, cleaning, continuous improvement, and safety and security.

We meet accreditation standards in every area. In addition, our catering department have won a 5 star award for food safety.

Protection of the Aged Care Act

HillView Care operates strictly within the rules of the Aged Care Act, 1997. This Act was designed by the Commonwealth Government to protect the health, safety, wellbeing and interests of residents. The Act sets fees and charges and protects residents’ funds.

HillView Care is proud of its highly qualified and well trained team of carers and support sta . Our sta are carefully selected and we invest in keeping them happy. As a result, they tend to stay a long time. This benefits our residents by allowing them to develop strong, long-term bonds with their carers and support crew.
