Train Your Dog Following These Easy Steps However, dog obedience training is crucial for the safety of your pet, your home, your property and other people. It is important that you use only positive training methods. Patience and consistency are key things to have in dog training. Schedule half an hour each day to train your dog and no more. If you spend a longer amount of time training your dog, they are going to get bored. When you're consistent, he can learn to hold it in. When you are home with your dog, remember to take him out every hour. Make sure that you give praise if your dog goes to the bathroom outdoors. Don't yell at your dog for an indoor accident. He won't know what he did wrong and will learn nothing. Your dog should be taken outside when he emerges from his crate, and within 15 minutes of eating or drinking. Pay attention to your dog's behavior to help prevent potty accidents indoors. Many dogs show signs before they go to the bathroom. When you know what to look for, you'll avoid all accidents. House training will be so much simpler if you can be sensitive to your dog's needs. Training your pet to roll over very easy. Just remember to have treats in hand. The first step is a simple "lay" command. Then, put a treat close to the floor near the side of the dog's head, and gradually raise it over its head to the opposite side. This will cause your dog to use their nose to follow the treat. As a result, your dog will roll over. When they roll over, yell "roll over." Keep doing this until they do it just with the command. Put your frustration aside and he'll be performing this trick all over the place in no time. Your training sessions should be short. Since dogs do not have a long attention span, short lessons will prevent them from getting bored. If you want to engage in additional training, allow the dog to have a break in order to get some exercise. Start your training sessions with a treat for each successful command. Once they become more familiar with the order, you do not have to give a treat every time and can gradually reduce the amount of treats you give. Positive reinforcement is the only way to train dogs and can be done successfully without the use of treats. Dogs are eager to please and respond well to positive reinforcement tactics. However, you may not always have a treat with you to congratulate you dog outside of regular training sessions. Another method of positive reinforcement is giving praise and attention through patting and hugging, and can replace the use of a treat. If you catch your puppy gnawing on an object that doesn't belong to them, stop the behavior right away. This will help your puppy understand what is acceptable and what is off limits. Use the right size crate for effective crate training. You should keep in mind that your dog will

get bigger. Choose a crate that your puppy can grow in, but won't grow out of. Click here.
