We care where our food comes from and constantly ask ourselves about how the decisions we make impact our local community and beyond. We collaborate with our certified chefs to create customized made from scratch recipes for our university while keeping health and wellness in mind. Allyson West

Allyson West RD, LDN, is the Registered Dietitian with High Point University Dining. Allyson works closely with the culinary team and management staff to ensure there is a variety of nutrient-dense choices available across campus every day. Healthy dining options are vital for overall well-being and nourishing the campus community is a top priority. Allyson is available to provide guidance to ensure healthy eating as a lifestyle here on campus. Allyson will be providing specialized presentations and tabling events throughout the year to increase awareness between nutrition and healthy living.

New for fall, all meals will be magic meals and can be used at any of our restaurants on campus.** Try it out your first semester and adjust next semester – It’s a process! Keep in mind—the last day to change your meal plan is by add-drop!

using your meal plan This fall we have made changes to our dining plans to ensure your safety and to better serve you. *

Magic Meals

New for this semester, all meals are magic meals. This magic meal plan gives you flexibility to choose meals from any of our restaurants, coffee shops or markets on campus. At the Café and Farmers Market, you can enjoy an all-you-care-to eat meal. At our retail restaurants, coffee shops or markets, a magic meal is a combo that typically includes an entrée, side, and drink. These combos may vary per retail restaurant.

Dining Dollars

Our new meal plan includes Dining Dollars that are loaded and ready for use on day one! Dining Dollars work just like the general fund on your passport, and are accepted at all HPU Dining locations. Keep in mind, Dining Dollars do NOT replenish each week.

Mobile Ordering Skip the lines! Mobile ordering is a simple, convenient way to order, pay and pick up. You can browse our restaurants and menus, order from your favorite campus spots, and pay with your meal plan. Using the app, allows you to know when to expect your food and get notified when your food is ready. You can also use the app to reserve a spot at our Café and Farmers Market restaurants. Download "transact mobile ordering" app to get started. * This is a change for the Fall Semester and is subject to change for Spring Semester.

events & programs We host a variety of events throughout the academic year designed to increase engagement and influence on our dining program. Teaching Kitchen: Executive Chef Brandon Rudisill hosts a monthly class where students learn culinary skills while preparing a meal. Pop-ups: Our dining program features a variety of unique events where students can enjoy an innovative snack, engage with local vendors, or learn about sustainability.

We regularly request that our guests complete surveys to tell us what we can do to improve their dining experience. These surveys and responses help us stay on top of providing great service and extraordinary food. Your Feedback Matters is our direct line of contact with every guest who wants compliment the chef for an outstanding meal or give some recgonition to an HPU Dining team member who made their day extraordinary! We also hold monthly Think Tank meetings where students and guests have the opportunity to directly interact and share opinions with some members of the HPU Dining leadership team!
