"Making Love Last A Lifetime: Biblical Perspectives On Love, Marriage and Sex"

Youth News In honor of Father's Day, we won't be having UMYF tonight. Next week (6/27), get ready for our annual Beach Sweep on the Isle of Palms! We'll meet at the CLLC at 5:00.

Family Ministries is proud to announce the next Families to Families Work Day being held on Saturday, July 10th. We are looking for individuals, families, teens - anyone who would like to spend a few hours helping a fellow Hibben member. Email irishhope@bellsouth.net or call 452-7265 if you are able to help. Let us know how many adults and kids are in your volunteer group and what hours you are available that day. We will match you with a need and contact you with the details closer to the work day. We are also accepting requests for anything you would like a hand with around the house - whether it be weeding, cleaning a fan you can't reach, or changing a filter, to name a few things. There is no fee for this service - it's just a way for families to help, connect, and extend our brotherly and sisterly love for other Hibben members.

We are here this morning to worship God. Through our songs, words of praise, prayers and scripture reading, we give honor and glory to God. Wondrous things happen as we worship. Lives are changed. The presence of God brings hope, comfort, healing and joy. Let us worship in gladness. Jesus, the Lord of Life is with us.

Ushers:

The Seekers Class is beginning a new study "Making Love Last A Lifetime: Biblical Perspectives On Love, Marriage And Sex" by Adam Hamilton. This study explores love, marriage and sexuality from a biblical perspective. Its purpose is two-fold: to help participants understand God's plan and purpose for love relationships between men and women and for the covenant of marriage, and to offer real help for achieving the kind of relationship God intends for every couple. The Seekers Class offers adults of all ages the opportunity to discuss a wide range of contemporary and traditional Christian issues. Come, participate, listen, learn and enjoy.

Transformation

As the Deer The congregation observes a time of meditation, trusting God with concerns and distractions, being thankful and mindful of God’s presence. OPENING PRAYER Unison Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name, through Christ our Lord. Amen. *OPENING HYMN No. 88

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. *GLORIA PATRI

Welcome Today, we welcome the Rev. Dr. John Holler, CEO of Epworth Children’s Home, and look forward to his time with us this morning. Dr. Holler will be our guest preacher and will speak to us about Epworth during the Sunday School hour in the Sanctuary.

As the Angel Food Ministry continues to grow, there is an immediate need for additional pickup trucks and drivers. All that’s required is an occasional trip to Orange Grove Elementary School to load food and return to Hibben. If you are a truck owner and would like to help, contact Allan Morgan at armorgan@sas-llc.com or 884-3340.

Nametags Have Arrived If you placed an order over the past several weeks for a magnetic or pin nametag, you will find your order at the Welcome Center in the Narthex. Nametags are in alphabetical order and grouped by family name. Be sure to pick yours up today.
