WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST ANDREA McARDLE (Agnes) Andrea McArdle first captured the hearts of theatergoers everywhere in 1977 when she originated the title role in the mega-musical ANNIE, based on the popular Harold Gray comic strip “Little Orphan Annie.” Since then, she has starred in several Broadway musicals and appeared in theatres in New York, nationally and internationally. She has performed in concert halls from Carnegie Hall to the Hong Kong Philharmonic and casino hotels in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She has honed her craft by working with some of the great legends of the entertainment industry such as Ethel Merman, Liza Minnelli, Julie Andrews, Bob Hope, Liberace, Frank Sinatra, Steve Martin and Martin Short, to name a few, and was privileged to have appeared on television with Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin and Dinah Shore.   In addition to ANNIE, Andrea’s film and television credits include starring as Judy Garland in RAINBOW, appearing in THE LEADING LADIES OF BROADWAY on PBS, ALL MY CHILDREN on ABC and headlining her own PBS special ANDREA McARDLE ON BROADWAY.   As “Annie,” Andrea became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical. She also received the Theater World and Outer Critics’ Circle Awards for her performance and went on to star when the show was produced on London’s West End. (Fun fact: Catherine Zeta-Jones played young orphan Mollie in this production).   Coming full circle, Andrea was tapped by Academy Award nominated director Rob Marshall to appear as “The Star to Be” in the Disney/ABC television production of ANNIE starring Kathy Bates and Victor Garber. And in the summer of 2010, Andrea played, yes, Miss Hannigan in a production at the North Carolina Theatre and at Musical Theatre West in California.   Also on Broadway, Andrea starred in the Jerry Herman musical JERRY’S GIRLS alongside Carol Channing and Leslie Uggams; she portrayed the sassy Smoking Car, Ashley, in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s STARLIGHT EXPRESSS; and starred as Margy Frake in STATE FAIR; as Fantine in LES MISERABLES and, most recently as Belle in Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. She toured nationally starring as Sally Bowles in CABARET and as Eponine in LES MISERABLES and appeared as herself in THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, which she appeared in Off-Broadway as well.   Andrea appeared Off-Broadway in the satirical NEWSICAL and regionally as the title roles in MAME and HELLO DOLLY. Other theatre appearances include starring as Reno Sweeney in ANYTHING GOES, Esther in MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, Mrs. Johnstone in BLOOD BROTHERS, Penelope Pennywise in URINETOWN, Sonia in THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG, Luisa in THE FANTASTICKS, Eva Peron in EVITA, Nancy in OLIVER, the Narrator in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, Annie Oakley in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Sandy in GREASE and as Mama Rose in GYPSY.   Andrea tours the United States in her one-woman concert and with Donna McKechnie in McARDLE & McKECHNIE: CELEBRATE SONDHEIM & HAMLISCH.

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST REX SMITH (Michael) Rex Smith is a multi-talented performer who never lacks for energy. His natural singing ability has led him to a successful career as a singer and actor. A platinum recording artist and a veteran of stage and screen, Rex’s most notable Broadway credits include starring roles in the original production of “Grease,” “Grand Hotel,” “Sunset Boulevard,” “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” and “Kiss Me Kate.” Rex received the Theater World Award for his memorable portrayal of Frederick in “The Pirates of Penzance.” Smith reprised the role of Frederic in the 1983 film adaptation, along with fellow Broadway cast members Kevin Kline as the Pirate King and Linda Ronstadt as Mabel. Regional credits include “Westside Story,” “The Sound Of Music,” “Heathers The Musical,” “Hands On A Hard Body,” Neil Simon’s “Plaza Suite” and “Barefoot In The Park,” “Love Actually, Live,” and many others. In between Broadway shows, Rex expanded his career to encompass TV shows and Feature Films. Rex starred in the series “Street Hawk,” and became a household name on the popular CBS daytime drama “As the World Turns,” and also hosted “Solid Gold.” He was featured in Danielle Steele’s “Once in a Lifetime,” “Passion to Kill,” and “Ballerina and the Blues.” Rex has guest starred on numerous prime time television and movies including “Daredevil,” “The Sentinel,” “JAG,” “Baywatch,” “Caroline in the City,” “Just Cause,” “Pope Dreams,” and John Schneider’s “Collier & Co.” He also co-starred in “Josephine,” the Josephine Baker story for the Charlotte Wilcox Company, as well as headlined “The Cradle Will Rock” on stage at the Blank Theatre. Rex also appears in the feature film, CATS DANCING ON JUPITER with Amanda Righetti.  Rex Smith has been Celebrity Host, Corporate Spokesperson and Entertainer for events ranging from Time-Life Inc., HBO, Avon Corp., Time Magazine, among many others. Concert venues include Araneta Coliseum and The Hard Rock Cafe in the Philippines, “Operation Homecoming” for Vietnam Veterans in Branson, MO., The Big-E State Fair in Springfield, MA., and the “Original Idols” in Las Vegas. Featured in Oprah’s “Where Are They Now?,” Rex is currently performing his national one-man show “Rex Smith: Confessions Of A Teen Idol” in venues nationally and globally. Based on the 2017 movie release of “Beauty and The Beast,” Rex brings to life and opens the multi-million dollar re-envisioned stage version on board the Disney Dream as Belle’s father, Maurice.     Rex’s international television and concert performances have brought him famed recognition in many countries spanning Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Philippines. Due to widespread popularity, Sony Music re-released all six of Rex’s albums including the platinum album hit “You Take My Breath Away” available on CD, iTunes, and Amazon. com; as well as, the now available new DVD Box Set release of Rex Smith as “Jesse Mach” in the series “Street Hawk” in Europe and the U.S. www.rexsmith.com.
