Annual Report

Healing Hands International exists to extend the love of Jesus Christ to a lost and hurting world, allowing God to use our hands to carry out His healing work.

Our Silver Lining The past year has been one full of celebrations and growth, sorrows and challenges. People throughout the world faced difficult situations and realities–earthquakes, floods, death, and famine. In the midst of every situation though, He provided a silver lining by filling us all with overflowing joy and peace as we continued to trust Him just like we read about in May the God of hope fill you with all joy Romans 15:13. With each sorrow comes an opportunity for celebration; with each and peace as you trust in Him, so that you challenge, an opportunity for growth.

As we continue into 2016, the 25th year of operation for Healing Hands International, the Holy Spirit .” –Romans 15:13 this verse remains our prayer. Silver, the color that customarily represents this milestone and is part of our logo in 2016, will be a constant reminder that in order to be filled with the overflowing joy and peace He offers, we must first commit to trusting Him. Please join us in our commitment to trust in the God of Hope in 2016. Together we can look back on last year and look forward to this year with a heart of trust and overflowing hope. We are extremely thankful for your partnership in 2015. CLEAN WATER By God’s grace, we were able to drill 153 clean water wells in 2015, opening the door to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We completed our 792 nd water well this year. We hosted 33 Walk4Water events with a total of 4,052 walkers raising the necessary funds for wells. We were also able to provide 2,032 Sawyer and Tiva water filters where successful water wells could not be drilled.

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE In 2015, we hosted 106 workshops in 13 countries and five U.S. states. We trained 5,019 people in sustainable agriculture methods, empowering them to feed themselves and their families. We also introduced our ten Agriculture trainers to you through our Adopt A Trainer campaign. During this campaign we raised more than $80,000 to go toward funding their work in 2016!

EDUCATION The Education program went to Haiti five times in 2015, making a total of 21 trips in the history of this ministry! We focused on working with four schools which each had 8-9 teachers. We held 2 Education seminars, each drawing approximately 40 teachers and school directors. We distributed close to $3,000 in books and provided supplies for all 4 schools. We are very excited to announce that Madeline Joseph is now our in-country director of the Education program in Haiti and we are eager to see how God uses her in 2016.

WOMEN OF HOPE We hosted our 4th Christian Business Women’s Conference this fall. Women in two regions of Baja, Mexico were involved in this event. We conducted 24 Hope parties in the United states, telling the stories of Women of Hope. The Dorcas: Sewing for Jesus ministry made many handsewn items that were used in M.A.G.I. boxes, medical clinics, and disaster relief shipments. You donated nearly $4,000 to a special project we called the “Girls in Ghana” project. With your help, more than 20 girls are receiving vocational training from our leader in Ghana.

M.A.G.I. With your help, we packed and sent a total of 23,137 M.A.G.I. boxes this year, making a godly impact in Honduras, Texas/Mexico border, and Zambia. Thank you to the nearly 200 church groups, schools, individuals, and other groups who worked with us this year to fill these boxes!

DISASTER RELIEF HHI responded to four major disasters in 2015. The earthquake in Nepal hit in April, drought riddled Kenya in July, floods overwhelmed India in December, and the refugee crisis in Europe continued to develop throughout the year. Response to these disasters included sending: funds, food, water, and relief supplies.

SHIPPING In 2015, we sent 23 containers of relief supplies, missionary belongings, well drilling equipment, and M.A.G.I. boxes to Antigua, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Panama, Ukraine, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

MEDICAL In 2015, we supplied medicines, vitamins, and medical supplies to clinics, hospitals, and short term medical teams in countries all over the world including: Belize, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Romania, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Thanks to our sewing ladies, we were able to provide handmade hygiene pads and diapers to mothers and children who would go without otherwise.
