AES Engineers Scholarship

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evalua on of the essays that are submi ed. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students a ending a post secondary educa onal facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. The Hispanic Heritage Youth Award: The Hispanic Heritage Foundation

The Youth Award honors La no high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their focus in various categories including: Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Educa on, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, and Technology & Engineering. The Horatio Alger New York Scholarship Program

National Eagle Scout Association Scholarship

There are three types of Eagle Scholarships: academic, merit, and field study. Type 1: Academic scholarships ● Academic scholarships weigh academic performance, school and Scou ng par cipa on, and financial need. ● Academic scholarships include a range of scholarships, up to four $25,000 scholarships (payable at $6,250 per year for four years) one $48,000 scholarship (payable at up to $12,000 per year for four years) and a $50,000 STEM scholarship for an Eagle Scout planning to major in a science, technology, engineering, or math field. ● Eligibility ● Score a minimum 1290 SAT or an ACT score of at least 28. ● Must apply during senior year of high school. The Voice of Democracy Program: Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S.

The Voice of Democracy Program is open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States and its territories. HOW TO ENTER: ● Download the Voice of Democracy entry form and brochure to submit your essay to your local VFW Post. ● Students should record their reading of the dra to an audio CD or flash drive. The recording can be no shorter than three minutes and no longer than five minutes (plus or minus five seconds). ● Entries begin at the Post level. Once the student creates their essay and completes burning the audio version to an audio CD/flash drive, they can submit their typed version, CD/flash drive and the Voice of Democracy entry form to their local par cipa ng VFW Post by the deadline. Ron Brown Scholarship: Ron Brown Scholar Program

The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selec ve scholarship program that advances higher educa on for community-minded and intellectually gi ed African Americans. Doctors of Tomorrow Scholarship Program: Suffolk Academy of Medicine

The Doctors of Tomorrow Program is a county-wide student educa onal program sponsored by the Suffolk Academy of Medicine, to provide personal, first-hand, encouraging informa on on what it takes to become a doctor. The program consists of an Introductory Symposium, an Essay Contest, and A Day with a Doctor. To be eligible for ANY of these awards you must par cipate in all of the listed events. Three $1,000 scholarships are paid to the medical school of the winning recipients upon registra on. Women in Technology Scholarship: Champlain College

Nominated students will be eligible for one of our limited $10,000 merit-based scholarships. Scholarships will be renewed annually, providing a $40,000 benefit toward the student's degree in an in-demand technology field. Charles Johnson Jr. Memorial Scholarship: New York City District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds

The NYCDCC offers a scholarship program through the Welfare Fund for unmarried, dependent, natural, or adopted children of eligible members. This benefit is a scholarship program for unmarried, dependent, natural or legally adopted children, regardless of age who, are entering college as a freshman without prior college credit, are entering college with prior college credit earned while comple ng high school, or are mid-year graduates who entered college prior to the academic year beginning in September. The scholarship program pays up to $3,500 for each year of a four-year academic program at an accredited college or university, or un l the child receives a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. Odenza Marketing Group Volunteer Award: Odenza Marketing Group

The main goal of the Odenza Marke ng Group Volunteer Award is to encourage students to make a posi ve contribu on to their individual communi es, while providing scholarship awards to those who have done so over the previous 12 months. Bloodstock Scholarship Program: New York Blood Center

New York Blood Center is offering up to $500 in scholarship funds for students who demonstrate community service and leadership through the planning and sponsorship of a community blood drive during the summer. Student chairs who host blood drives must meet certain requirements in order to qualify. NCAA Scholarships and Grants

The NCAA awards scholarships and grants for further educa on to athletes who demonstrate outstanding academic and athle c achievement. Member ins tu ons are also awarded grants to improve academics and enhance campus culture. The NCAA awards more than $10 million in scholarships and grants annually to student-athletes and member ins tu ons, in addi on to the $2.7 billion allocated by schools to fund athle cs scholarships. Addi onally, the NCAA is providing $15 million in grant money over the next three years to fund a joint ini a ve with the U.S. Department of Defense that will include the most comprehensive study of concussion and head impact exposure ever conducted. New York State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program The NYS STEM Incen ve Program provides a full SUNY tui on scholarship to the top 10 percenter of students in each NYS high school if they pursue a STEM degree in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program and agree to live in NYS and work in a STEM related field in NYS for five years a er gradua on.
