Watching the Seasons by Edana Eckart -Read and discuss the 4 seasons

Fold a piece of paper into 4 sections. Students will label seasons in order and illustrate each one.

Assign a daily weather helper during calendar time to name the weather for that day and fill in on weather graph. Use an individual weekly weather calendar to predict the next day’s weather.

Label the weather on the weekly weather calendar using weather words.

During calendar time, students will name and/or sing days of the week and months of the year.

Create 4 student groups (one for each season) and have them draw/write how animals and/or plants change in that season (hibernate, migrate, bloom, leaves fall, etc.). In science journal, students will illustrate something they do in each season.
