~Houston Habitat Builds their 1,000th House!~
This fall, Houston Habitat welcomes back several build teams that have supported us throughout the years, and 3 special builds are taking place that we are really excited about. This month, the return of Apache, Brentwood Baptist Church, Chevron, Houston 1st Baptist, Isla Carrol Turner Trust, Marathon Oil, and Wells Fargo kicks off the start of another build season as we look forward to building 9 more houses in the Harrel Park community, and 3 houses in the historic Settagast community. These builds include a Vet Build, a home honoring Pope Francis, and a milestone build celebrating our 1,000th house! We are so excited that we have reached this milestone with Chevron as our partner for this commemorative project. Chevron, who has worked alongside numerous Partner Families for 17 consecutive years, generously stewarded the building a total of 32 full homes and 12 partial homes. We have a few celebrations in store in the coming month. (See more on page 3). Other teams supporting our builds this fall include Daikin, Kinkaid, Conoco Phillips, Dow, Columbia Pipeline, and Aramco. Join us as we move along the continuum of making Houston a place where everyone has a decent place to live!
