Led by Chevron’s generous gift of construction equipment, we humbly request 1,000th House commemorative gifts to Houston Habitat. Our wish list is listed on the next page and includes items big and small; all vital to helping us continue to build homes, communities and hope for low income, hard-working Houston families. We also gratefully accept monetary donations and donations for our silent auction. We could not have reached this milestone without the support of the Houston community, and donors and sponsors worldwide. We hope that we can continue to count on this support as we strive to build the next 1,000 houses and help the next 1,000 families achieve the dream of home ownership and the transformation that it brings. Thank you so much for your consideration.

~Thank you to our Women Build Teams!~
Our 2015 Women Build was a resounding success of 7 days of hard work! We are eternally grateful to the women (and a few good men) teams that shared their time, talent and treasures to help build this home for Ms. McGee! Every day, they came strong, willing to spend those hours hammering away! They erected interior and exterior walls; applied sheathing and installed blue board around the house; cut out windows and doors; began kitchen, bath and closet blocking; raised roof trusses and more! We thank all of the Women Build Teams for their hard work and dedication! • • • • • • • • • • • • •

~COME BUILD WITH US!~ When a family comes to Houston Habitat with a desire to own a home, we make it possible with individual donors, sponsors, grants, and much needed help from our friends! The Partner Family contributes 300 hours of their own as well. Come build with us! Our volunteer experience is like none other. Enlist your friends, family and colleagues! Several groups make it a yearly tradition to help raise funds and come out on the build site to participate in building alongside the future homeowner!

~Houston’s Club 24 ~ Club 24 is an organization that was founded by members of the Indo-American community in Houston in 2006. It is a social club with a primary mission to build bridges with the broader community in Houston. At a recent Club 24 philanthropy event, Houston Habitat for Humanity was presented with a check for $500 at the gorgeous residence of Mr. Madhusudan Desai. Club 24 partially matches contributions made by club members to various charities. The event was covered by TV Asia where Houston Habitat Board Members Gaynell Drexler and Leela Krishnamurthy were interviewed. A beautiful evening for a beautiful cause!
Pope Francis has become a beacon of peace and love for people throughout the world, not only to Catholics, but to all walks of life regardless of religious beliefs. Since his Papacy began in March of 2013 he has asked the world to help those that are in need and to love one another as equals. As Houston Habitat for Humanity was founded on these same principles, an anonymous donor challenged Houston Habitat to match their generous gift of $60,000 to build a Habitat home that will honor Pope Francis’ legacy. The Pope Francis House embraces the following three tenets: •To honor Pope Francis for his commitment to social justice and reinvigorating the Catholic Church •To provide a unifying, celebratory opportunity for both Catholic and non-Catholic volunteers to work towards a common goal-as Pope Francis says, “Work confers dignity.” •To further Habitat’s mission of building and preserving homes Houston Habitat will break ground on the Pope Francis House late summer 2015 in the historic Settegast neighborhood in Houston. Your generous gift will go directly towards the completion of the Pope Francis House, and allow for Houston Habitat to give a hand-up to another hard-working, low-income Houston family.
