Business Spotlight

City of Harker Heights 305 Millers Crossing, Harker Heights, TX 76548 254-953-5600 •

Hello Harker Heights! My name is David Mitchell and I am honored to serve as your City Manager. I am very excited to be back serving the great employees, citizens and businesses of Harker Heights after a four year stint with the City of Hutto, TX. Prior to taking employment with Hutto, I served in a variety of positions for the City of Harker Heights. Harker Heights continues to be a growing and vibrant city and I know that my experiences in Hutto, located in one of the fastest growing areas in the Country, will benefit me here. Prior to moving to Texas I worked for nine years in the private sector in forestry in Georgia. This experience has given me the ability to relate to the struggles that both large and small businesses face. In my heart, Harker Heights is second to none. Heights provides quality housing, excellent parks, awesome retail locations, proximity to excellent job opportunities – all wrapped in scenic hills and bounded by Stillhouse Hollow Lake. It is no mystery why so many continue to call Harker Heights home. The City has been blessed with great leadership over the years from the Mayor and City Council to city staff to citizen volunteers to business leaders. It is entrusted to us to continue that legacy of excellence. We at the City stand ready to serve you no matter your issue. We place a high emphasis on serving with excellence. When you encounter a matter in which you need assistance we desire to be your advocate. Only together can we continue to advance the quality of life standards that Heights is known for. If you are a business or resident in Heights we are excited you are here. Please let us know how we can be of service to you. You can reach us at 254-953-5600 or email at Stop and visit our library, pet adoption center, one of our excellent parks or events (they were all created to serve you) you’ll be glad you did!
