arne Family, as we start to move into the warm-spirited time of the year, I would encourage you and your Families to remain thankful for each other. This month, there are plenty of seasonal activities for you and your Family to participate in. For starters, the Autumn Brunch at Club Stewart invites Families to enjoy some holiday delicacies from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 4, at Club Stewart's Thunder Run. Check out page 15 for the full menu, which includes savory entrees and sweet desserts. Clear your calendar for 6 p.m., Nov. 7 and 8, for Sesame Street's visit to Fort Stewart! Cookie Monster and his friends Grover, Rosita, Elmo and Katie will bring their own special brand of excitement and encouragement to Family Members at Newman Fitness Center. Tickets are free, but will be required for admittance and can be picked up on a first-come, firstserved basis at the Fort Stewart Leisure Travel Office in the PX Furniture Mall complex, building 419. For each show, 1,000 tickets are available. Visit pages 13 and 14 for full details. or the hunting enthusiasts, Outdoor Recreation is managing their second Deer Hunt of the season, Nov. 17. total of 50 slots are available for each hunt, with 10 percent being offered to retirees. Participants will be selected in a lottery type drawing when registration closes at 5 p.m., Nov. 5. Individuals will have the opportunity to take part in both a morning and afternoon hunt, with lunch provided during the break. Game check and cleaning station will be provided by Fish and Wildlife. A $10 fee per hunter will be charged and is payable upon selection for the hunt. Assistance also is provided by DES game wardens. On Nov. 26, a Turkey Egg Hunt will be available at Cypress Creek. Children ages 5 and up are encouraged to join together in search for the eggs that the remaining turkey gobblers left from our Thanksgiving feasts. The search begins bright and early at 10 a.m. When all the eggs have been found, the search is over. There is no charge. So, come out and join the community. For more information, call 912-767-4273. Nov. 2 Join Murder Mystery Dinner Tickets are on sale at Club Stewart for “Clue: the Musical,” based on the internationally popular Parker Brothers board game. Tickets are $25 per person or $175 for a table of eight. The price includes a Family-style dinner. No tickets will be sold at the door. The show will be presented at Thunder Run in Club Stewart starting at 7 p.m. The dinner theater performance is sponsored by FMWR, in partnership with the Hinesville Area Arts Council. “Toddler Time” at Treehouse

Bring the little one out for Toddler Time at Cypress Sam’s Treehouse, building 449, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. There are no blowers or loud noises to scare them. Socks are required. The cost is $1.50 per child playing. This is for toddlers up to five years old. Not available on holidays. For more information, call 912-767-4273.

Saturdays 8 for 8 Bowling League slated

The Eight for Eight Bowling League at Stewart Lanes Bowling Center, building 450, is open to children ages 4 to 8 years old. It is held 10 a.m. to noon, Saturdays. Children will bowl two games each week for eight weeks and at the end of the program, they will receive their very own bowling ball. Men, bowl across 10 lanes and knock down nine pins or more to win a turkey. Ladies, bowl across 10 lanes, knock down eight pins or more and win a turkey. The turkey bowl contest runs from Nov. 1 through Nov. 18. Nov. 17 Hunter Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk Everyone’s invited to take part in the Family Turkey Trot Fun Run/ Walk along Perimeter Road starting at 10 a.m., Nov. 17. Refreshments and a drawing for gift certificates good for Thanksgiving turkeys will follow the race. There’s no charge, and participants can register starting at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event. The run/walk will cover distances of 5K or 1.5 miles and will begin at Perimeter Road and Stephen Douglas Street. For more information, call 912-315-5078.

Nov. 26 Turkey Egg Hunt at Cypress Creek Not all the turkeys were gobbled up on Thanksgiving Day, and those that escaped the dinner table left some eggs in the Adventure Golf facility at building 444. Children up to age five years are invited to help us find the eggs in the annual Turkey Egg Hunt starting promptly at 10 a.m. There’s no charge. The hunt will end when all eggs have been found. Spiritual Fitness Chapel Schedule

Operation Helping Hand Operation Helping Hand is the Commander’s ongoing emergency food assistance program for Soldiers and their Families. It is Soldiers helping their own. The program is managed and funded by the installation chaplain. Soldiers and Family Members needing to use this program should contact their unit chaplain.
