BROTHERS ON THE RISE

LOGO PRESENTATION OCTOBER 31ST 2012

BROTHERS ON THE RISE Creative Objective: To arrange a logo to represent a non-profit organization geared towards “help[ing] urban males of color achieve individual success, develop healthy relationships, contribute to a just and equitable society through counseling and behavioral health, literacy, life skills and leadership, career readiness and workforce development.” Notes: • Achieve a logo that is youth friendly • Achieve a logo that appeals to anyone Strategy: Sketch/Hand-draw ideas, progress ideas through digital means, then finalize. The problem to be solved: Brothers on the Rise (BOTR) needs an updated logo (both graphic and media friendly) to replace their existing logo. The objective: This logo must represent BOTR and their main goals in a manner that is inspiring, friendly, and appeals to a wide population. The audience: The general public, supporters, members of BOTR, affiliates, low income population, and boys, young men, and their “allies.” Design Concept: My goals are to create a long-lasting logo that highlight not only the work of the organization but to also highlight their goals. In this case; developing boys into men, empowering male youth as well as their adult allies.
