Visit with Frank Davis, the notable and widely recognized New Orleans “character” whose effervescent personality and love for Louisana are contagious. “I have a lot of fun doing what I do,’’ said the resident chef and outdoors director for WWL-TV in New Orleans (CBS). “I like to express that fun to everybody else as well.’’ Don’t miss this great presentation on Louisiana fishing and cuisine! Get your favorite books signed and may even some personal tips on how to create that perfect Louisiana dish!

Louisiana Discovery Dome 10:30am-1:30pm Come explore other planets, stars, stellar objects, planetary orbits, and space distances in this mini planetarium experience. Participants will enter in small groups for a 15 minute session that will challenge their outerspace knowledge while engaging the senses.

Journey of the Drum • 10am Journey of the Drum” touches on history, geography, science and music, while addressing current social issues that influence a lack of connection within community and on the planet which sustains us. The drum is a natural vehicle for presenting this information; having been used for centuries to create community and connection. Don’t miss this great performance at 10am to kick off a great day at the Tangi Library Free Book Festival!
