Book Description: Edition Bischofberger, and Boone, 1985. [zurich & n.y.] Hard bound w/dust jacket, First edition. This A/P was Basquiat's personal designated “proof� in his hand and inscribed by him: "FOR RUTHANDHER DOG" next to that Basquiat has added a circled copyright symbol below he has written: "The Great" which he has drawn a line through with his signature below. The edition limitation "1000" he has crossed out, and wrote "A.D." with a box drawn around it. This blank space is where the copy number would have been. On the title page Basquiat has drawn a box around the title drawings with "proof" written underneath. He has added a "TM"(trademark) symbol to the side with a circled copyright symbol. Presentation copies of this book are extremely rare, and this personal copy with Basquiat's various markings is especially rare. Provenance: Bengtsson Fine Art, Sweden Skyline Rare Books, CA.
