Tourism For All Tourism for All UK is the UK Voice for Accessible Tourism, a national charity dedicated to making tourism welcoming to all. Tourism gives people something to look forward to, a chance for adventure, or perhaps some time to yourself. In the past, some people have encountered barriers to participation in tourism - those with disabilities, older people, carers of young people or disabled or older relatives - Tourism for All works to overcome these. Tourism For All’s website offers information to help you find where you can go, stay or visit. It offers sound advice and assistance to the business or public body who needs to make changes to become more accessible. The organisation offers an active network, passing on info about the best, and seeking to help change the worst - and urges you to take part in this by registering with the site, and/or becoming a member. 01302 310 123 www.tourismforall.org.uk info@tourismforall.org.uk C/O Vitalise,Shap Road Industrial Estate, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 6NZ

Hft’s Family Carer Support Service Hft is a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families. Our Family Carer Support Service (FCSS) provides a friendly, national support service for family carers who have relatives with learning disabilities, run by a team of family carers and experienced family support staff. Anyone is welcome to contact us - all our services are free to family carers. We give information and support to family carers who have relatives with learning disabilities: • We give one to one support through phone calls, emails and letters • We run courses of workshops for groups of family carers around the country • We send out Family Carer News Digests about policy, practice and carers issues • We develop other family focused materials and publications • We work in partnership with other organisations and do commissioned work for family carers and/or professionals.

Workshops for Family Carers Do you want to know more about getting support and services, personalisation and individual budgets, what happens during transition to adult services or preparing for the future as an older carer? Our free workshops give relatives of people with a learning disability the local and national information they need, in a supportive setting alongside other family carers. Topics usually include carers rights, support planning and self directed support, fulfilling lives (relationships, work, meaningful activities), health, housing and support options, money matters (personal budgets, benefits, charging, wills). At least one set of workshops each year is organised for family carers from black or other minority communities. To find out more, ask us about our workshop programme, look on our website or join our Family Carer Database.
