PUBLICATION – IDEAL CITIES LEXICON COMPENDIUM OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE ISSUE OF THE IDEAL CITY WRITTEN BY STUDENTS since SEPTEMBER 2011 Partners: Faculty of Architecture of Silesian University of Technology
So far, we compiled as much as 40 examples of ideal cities. Most of them are accompanied by students’ drawings. Our goal is to catalog all the historical and contemporary ideal cities, the built ones and those never realized.
This way we aim to create a clear and accessible compendium, which will serve as a starting point for further exploration of his always intriguing topic. In addition, the possibility to collect data and compose a text is often a challenge for young engineers â€“ this results in educational character of a project.

As an answer to conversion of a main access road of University campus to a pedestrian zone we decided to start a discussion on a freshly approved design for the area.
We prepared series of temporary installations and interactive games throughout the main campus axis. In this way, we wanted to encourage passers-by to reflect on the quality of public spaces in the city of Gliwice. The happening was spotted by local media and made its way to the main national architectural magazines and websites.

Due to our urban planning interest we decided to enliven two backyards at the university campus near dormitories of our faculty. The first step of the revitalization were three events that made us think of future concept project.
Workshops, panel discussion and summing-up exhibition were the great experience not only for us but also for our guests and tutors. Thanks to models, concept drawings and creative discussions we have many ideas for the development of this place.
SCIENCE CAMP - SALVAGE FROM OBLIVION STUDENTSâ€™ INITIATIVE TO RESTORE THE MEMORY OF CULTURAL HERITAGE OF POLESIE APRIL 2013 Partners: The School of Architecture of the Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture, Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Brest
Intention of the Camp is restoring memory of cultural heritage of Polesie, which since the catastrophe in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986 is being progressively destructed. Common science camp for students from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus aims to familiarize with achievements of civilization and traditions of uprooted lands and to answer the question of what is the future of the region, if there is any possibility to settle it again or provide for educational tourism.
Effects we want to achieve: concept of revitalization of selected settlements of Exclusion Zone, organizing exhibitions summarizing the results and furthermore the publication of the results, promotion of this subject in national and foreign academic institutions and medias.
