Human emotions are usually invisible, especially negative feelings. They can be hidden behind our face or we use camouflage through a false smile or a polite laugh to conceal our real feelings. Human emotions are like great oceans; we see only their surface and are unable to understand their depth. It’s hard sometimes to describe our emotions with just a few words, and so many artists prefer to use paintings to express their feelings and this is the central point of my book. The book focuses on the camouflage of human feelings through a mix of literary and visual elements – famous paintings from different artists supported by quotations from writers talking about specific emotions.
