Financial Officer for HE Space Children’s Foundation

Hours:

4 hours per week

Main Tasks/Duties: Accounting: Record all payments, invoices and donations into accounting system Preparation of periodic financial statements: Analysis and interpretation of the figures, implementation of process improvements Cash flow: Creating monthly cash flow reports and liquidity forecasts, highlighting cash flow problems at least 3 weeks in advance, monitor bank accounts Administer budgets: Deliver (bi-)monthly budget reports (budget vs spent, forecast until end of year), track usage of budget, red flag overspend of budget Donations: tracking all donations from bank statements, process direct debit batches; monthly report on incoming donations Accounts payable: Check invoices received from vendors; get approval for payment; administer payments Travel budget: Check and administer travel expenses in accordance with HESCF guidelines and regulations; maintain accurate records of travel expenses. Reimburse employees for expenses Employee / Volunteer queries: Deal with employee/volunteer queries relating to expenses, commuting allowance etc in a timely manner Petty Cash: Maintain petty cash float and record all transactions The Finance Officer should ideally have the following skills and experience: Several years’ relevant financial accounting and bookkeeping experience Knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel Fluent English (written and spoken) Accurate, methodical and able to work to deadlines
