About Chabad of Melbourne CBD Chabad of Melbourne CBD was established in 1998 by Rabbi Chaim Dov Ber Herzog, with an aim to strengthen the Jewish community groups. He was appointed a Shliach and Director of Chabad of Melbourne CBD by Rabbi Yizchok Groner OBM. He also operates another Chabad house called The Shul and runs a Minyan and weekly Shuirim. The Shul is a leading Chabad Jewish center situated in the center of Caulfield and provides adult education, lectures, guest speakers, holiday programs, home visits and Shabbatons.
