Subseries Rugby Football League Committee Minute Books 9 boxes21 volumes Minute Books of the Rugby Football League Council. These records include the minutes of the committee, which cover decision making on topics including: financial awards to clubs, representation on the committee, organisation of competitions and tours, provision of medals, relationships with amateur sporting organisations (within and outside rugby league), changes to byelaws, changes to rules (laws of the game), rulings on disputes, promotion of rugby league football, coaching, sponsorship, insurance, tickets and passes, celebrations and anniversaries, referees, charitable awards, benefit matches. In addition to minutes some volumes also contain: copies of competition rules, sub-committee meeting records and regional committee meeting records annual general meeting reports, annual reports and accounts. Later volumes may include an index but most volumes are simply arranged chronologically and are not indexed. The first volume (1895-1899) of this subseries is known to have been missing since c1960s. These records contain personal data relating to living individuals.
