He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. —Proverbs 28:13 Grace to each of you my Brothers and Sisters, As we make our approach to the Cross, I personally invite each of you to experience Christ in a new way through this season of Lent - A time of Remembrance, Reflection, and Repentance.  Throughout this liturgical season we gather to remember Christ and the passion of His love. We reflect on our personal choices, how we respond to His invitation, and finally we repent for those areas where we have fallen short of the glory of Christ.  In this time of preparation, my prayer is that each of us will turn aside from the elements of life that distract us from self-examination, allowing us to see ourselves through the prism of God’s love. As this journey to the cross is a personal journey, I pray you will take the time to connect with the Lord in a deeper way, to connect with the church to more fully feed your soul, and ultimately to more fully understand His purpose for your life. Take the time to consider the depth of His love that resulted in His sacrifice on the cross. I invite you to worship with us on Ash Wednesday as we observe the custom better known as the imposition of ashes.  As we Remember, Reflect, and Repent we are guided by Genesis 3:19, which reminds us that we are but dust and unto dust we will return.  This powerful remembrance of the Lord’s sacrifice prayerfully guides us as we make our way to the Cross.  My prayer is that we will meet on Resurrection Sunday with new revelation and a recommitment to be transformed in our hearts to the image of our Risen Savior.  May God guide our feet as we journey together. Pastor Sullivan
