Water and Sanitary Sewer Service is provided by Illinois American Water Company, a private company.

The Village of Homer Glen and the Will County Sheriff’s Office have an agreement that provides for public safety services to the Village.

All public works functions, including maintenance of 131 miles of streets, bridge maintenance, snowplowing, storm water drainage maintenance, etc., are provided through the newly created Public Works Department.

Village-wide refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection and disposal service for all residential properties is provided by Homewood Disposal Service, under an agreement with the Village of Homer Glen. BUILDING PERMITS & INSPECTIONS

Most renovation and new construction activities require a building permit from the Village’s Building Department. Please call the Village’s Building Department at (708) 3011301 for assistance with determining whether your project requires a building permit.

ANNUAL BUSINESS LICENSE

All businesses operating within the corporate boundaries of Homer Glen are required to hold an active Business License with the Village. The application form is available on the Village website or contact the Village Clerk for more information at (708) 301-0632.
