We are excited to offer this set of bulls and females to you. Phenotype, outstanding EPDs, strong cow families, and a balance between maternal and carcass qualities are our goals. You, our customers, are who we have in mind as we strive to produce cattle that will go out and perform. We want cattle that excel in feed efficiency, milking ability, and have that extra special look. Check out the lots; we feel you will like what you see.
In order to help you make the best selection for your herd, the bulls on this sale have been genomically tested and have carcass scan data. In addition, they’ve all been semen tested and are ready to go to work for you. The bulls have been raised together at Northern Genetics on a balanced ration developed by our ADM representative.
All cattle will be videoed, and the videos will be posted in advance. If you are unable to join us at the Northern Genetics facility on March 24, internet and phone bidding will be available. Internet bidding will be available on LiveAuctions.TV.
This sale wouldn’t be possible without our guest consignors. We’d like to extend a special thank you to North Grove Charolais, Double-H Charolais, and Pearson Cattle for joining us for this sale. We greatly appreciate their partnership!
We feel the cattle speak for themselves and encourage you to study their pedigrees, EPDs, pictures, and videos. If you have any questions about the cattle, please feel free to contact us, the guest consignors, or our sale management team.

Unless otherwise noted, all the breeding age bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam prior to pick up/delivery. In addition to the standard terms and conditions of the American Simmental Association and the American International Charolais Association, we will provide the first breeding season (the 90-day period immediately following turn out) guarantee on all yearling and older bulls. This guarantee is not an insurance or mortality policy but a guarantee on functional fertility. It is not a substitute or replacement for poor management. Buyer assumes all risks for injury due to running bulls together or management decisions outside genetic control. For the guarantee to apply, we ask that you contact us as soon as a condition is observed and before the animal is sold. We will work with you to determine whether the animal is returned or sold for slaughter. We will attempt to provide a suitable replacement. If one cannot be provided of equal or greater value, we will issue a sale credit to be used in a future sale for the full purchase price less the salvage value of the animal.

You’ve got to love the anticipation of the next flush, and the question of will it work out or will it not?
Our goal with our donors is to make cattle that excel, not only in EPDs but also cattle that will just go out and work for the next producer. Lots 1-5 are just the kind that will do that. Lot 1 is massive numbered and ranks in the top 1% for WW, YW, MTL, SC, TSI, CW, and REA, and top 5% Milk and Marb. He’s a good structured bull who is attractive and will perform. Here’s another high quality full brother who has a little more frame and length. The combination of the high accuracy Lock N Load and the consistent Germaine 599 leaves no doubt that these brothers will be consistent producers. He’ll add tremendous growth to a set of feeder calves. Lock N Load is a Ledger son, and we all know what the Ledger line can do to a set of feeder calves.
Lot 6 and 7 are full brothers to last year’s high seller going to Circle Cee and Saddleridge Charolais in Canada. We used LT Citation to add carcass and to bring in a little different twist to Germaine 599, and it really worked. Mysterious ranks high on growth and carcass with top 7% WW, 4% YW, 9% CW, 2%
7% Marb, and his numbers put him in the top 4%

Tribute is a good looking rascal who ties it all together on a perfect foot. We’ve been very happy with the LT Citation calves as they are long, big topped, with good dispositions and big scrotals, and that sums up Tribute well. He is an easy going bull who has a bright future ahead of him. His EPDs contain a lot of green bars that rank him very high in multiple categories.

Lot 8 represents the next generation of Germaine 599. This calf had a huge WW of 874 pounds and a 1424 pound YW. Big center body, massive top, and muscle up from behind are what stands out to me on him. He stands square on all four feet and has a unique pedigree that goes back to Gridmaker on the top side. I’ve always been a fan of this Tank son. What really impresses me is that he is out of a first calf heifer that has become a very good looking cow. Lot 10 had a 3.82 ADG from WW to YW. Look at his picture and his EPDs. He ranks in the top 9% WW, 3% YW, 15% Milk, 6% MTL, 8% SC, 1% CW, 5% REA, and 3% TSI. Tanker might be the stoutest, biggest topped Tank son we have had, and he is correct and moves well. Retaining 1/3 semen interest.
Decree and his full brothers selling as lots 12 and 13 are out of our very special donor cow, M&M Ms. New Standard 3517. Their full brother is working out in Idaho at Dalling Charolais. Decree is a very stout, big topped bull that will breed a lot of cows. He ranks in the top 35% CE and 30% BW and is still in the top 6% WW and 15% YW. It’s hard to find bulls that can give you this much growth, carcass, milk, and scrotal. Commercial men, pay attention to these full brothers, lots 11-13. Kale is massive in his top and hip and carries so much power all the way through; he really is a beef bull. He is a big spread bull who is in the top 30% CE to top 4%
with a 280.21 TSI.
The presence of his head and the length of spine in this bull can get a guy pretty excited. His donor dam has raised high sellers in past years’ sales. Edict’s maternal brother, NGC Yellowstone, is in Semex’s catalog. Edict boasts a proven pedigree, green bars throughout his EPDs, and is a long yearling who will breed a pile of cows. This fall bred heifer division is unique and high quality. They are listed from oldest to youngest. Louise is an attractive daughter of the calving ease bull Travel Agent. Travel Agent daughters have been outstanding for us with beautiful udders; they certainly know how to raise a calf. Lot 62’s mother is very impressive with a superior udder, massive center body, and good feet and legs. She will be a good investment for anyone’s herd as she is top 7% MTL and 9% Milk. Bred to DC/CRJ Tank due on 9/11/23.

We really like the SAT Gridmaker 6306 calves. They are very correct and easy to look at. Jade goes back to the superb Nancy 6100 and her offspring are a big part of our herd today. Lot 65 is bred to NGC Yellowstone who was bought by Semex in our 2021 sale. Jade will make a nice cow and be a great addition to your herd. Bred to NGC Yellowstone due on 9/14/23.

Glory has a super attractive head, big top, and is out of one of our lead donor dams for HCC and NGC, Ms New Standard. This one has a bright future and is due to DC/CRJ Tank. Eleanor is out of a very nice first calf heifer. Put Fargo and Travel Agent together and you will end up with a long lasting brood cow. This heifer is top of the breed for milk and maternal and look at the growth numbers here, too: top 6% YW, 8% WW, and 10% TSI. She has a nice look and stands on a very nice foot. Pedigree, style, and correctness with top traits: she will make you money! Bred to DC/CRJ Tank due on 11/21/23.

Here’s a direct daughter of lot 58, and she is a super stout LT Patriot daughter. Jilly is massive in her top and hip, and she stands on a big foot. We really like the Patriot daughters as they milk well and hold their condition. Jilly is a very balanced female on her traits, and her pedigree is built with a productive dam and granddam. She is bred to NGC Yellowstone and we can’t say enough good things about these calves. They come easy and grow like weeds. Bred to NGC Yellowstone due on 10/28/23

Kinsley is a full sister to NGC Everly who was the Reserve All Other Breeds heifer at the MN Beef Expo and sold to Braxton Bleck, MN. She is built a lot like Everly. She’s good fronted, long, deep, and stout. Jr Nationals is in MN this summer, and I think this heifer has a bright future in the show ring. After you get done showing her, she will be a front pasture cow with solid EPDs as she has a lot of green bars.
Kiara is a special female with structure, length, muscle, and an outcross pedigree which gives you some breeding flexibility. Her dam, Y150, has been an outstanding producer and is still going strong at age 12. Kiara is the same mold as her mother: big and stout with a nice attractive head. I think this one has potential to hit the donor pen someday. She ranks 2% SC, 4% REA,15% WW, 25% MTL, 30% YW and TSI, 35% CW and top 40% Marb.

Karlee is an attractive show heifer who has tons of bone and body mass. She stands very correct and gets out and moves. I really enjoy this heifer’s pedigree. We stacked up our Ms New Standard and Y150 donors together, and it really worked. Take some time and study this one’s pedigree and her EPDs. Karlee will make a great show heifer but I think her best days will be in the pasture raising stout, correct calves.

Here is a full sib heifer to the lots 1-5 bulls. Pedigree, performance, foot quality, and she reads almost all green in EPDs which makes her one to have on your list. Sometimes it’s hard to find females with this kind of pedigree and EPDs and yet still so good up front and with her length of skeleton. Kaede’s EPDs rank her in the top 10% or better in SC, CW, TSI, YW, WW, MTL, Marb, REA, and top 20% for Milk and MCE.

We truly do like cow families, and Kassidy’s dam has always been a favorite. Her dam, NGC Paige, is a performance producer. Her last three calves weaned off over 800 pounds. Kassidy’s donor dam is a perfect uddered female going back to Nancy 6100 who has sold over a million dollars in progeny sales. Her sire DC/CRJ Tank is a calving ease to growth specialist.
