Coffee House Culture Inside the city’s ‘public living rooms’ Several cities lay claim to the “world’s best coffee” title, but, in Vienna, it’s the act of visiting a café that’s an art form in itself. The wiener kaffeehaus is a glorified institution and comes with its own set of social rituals that have stood the test of time. Not much has changed since Sigmund Freud sipped his brew in Café Central. To this day, many of the historical district’s traditional establishments still thrive.
