Ballroom dancing offers benefits to seniors By BRITTanY STOVaLL HERALD-CITIZEN Staff
COOKEVILLE — Seniors will have a chance to tango, waltz and cha cha their way out onto the dance floor during a dance showcase that will be hosted at the Cookeville Senior Center in two weeks. According to Maxine Frasier, Cookeville Senior Center director, dancing is one of many activities that gives seniors an interest to look forward to at the center. “Every time you have something you look forward to every week, it keeps you going,” she said. Piper’s Dance and Fitness Studio Spring Showcase is scheduled May 10 at the center, located at 186 S.
