THE INTENT THE INTENT OF THIS QUESTIONNAIRE WAS TO FIND OUT WHAT OUR AUDIENCE LIKES ABOUT CERTAIN ASPECTS OF DIGIPACKS. WE USED A VARIETY OF QUESTIONS FOCUSING ON DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF DIGIPACKS TO REALLY NARROW DOWN OUR AUDIENCE’S PREFERENCE WHEN IT COME’S TO THE VISUAL AND TECHNICAL SIDE OF A DIGIPACK.


QUESTION 1: HOW OLD ARE YOU? This question was asked so we could find out the age range of our audience. From the responses we had, we found out the majority of our audience is 15-20. This means any explicit content could possibly be accessed by a young audience so warnings about the explicit content of any of the songs will be needed.


QUESTION 2: ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE? Using the responses from this question, we can adapt our products based on the majority of our audience. For this question however, the results told us that our audience is evenly likely to be male or female. Hence, the imagery and song choice will need to please both. The contents of the product will have to be suited to both genders, and for our idea of using the band �Daughter� (a female gendered word) and imagery of a male there should be an even balance between the genders.


QUESTION 3: WHAT KIND OF ART STYLE WOULD BE PREFERRED?

This question was one of the most important questions we asked in the questionnaire. This lead to many developments on what way we have our products designed. The audience had an even split on Minimalism and Surrealism as the art style they preferred. This meant when designing our products we had to take both into consideration. Our tour poster will use the minimalism side of the art whereas our digipack will focus on the surrealism side as reality has been distorted in the imagery.


QUESTION 4: SHOULD THE DIGIPACK BE THE SAME STYLE AS THE SONG? Our audience preferred the idea of a digipack linking to the style of music we have chosen. This means as we have chosen a slow song, that has a lot of emotion behind the lyrics and is verbally descriptive, our digipack should be very basic with not a lot of colour to help enhance the feeling of the songs within it. The audience may experience certain emotions while listening to the music and so it is smart to replicate the same emotions with the imagery on our digipack.


QUESTION 5: WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT ON A DIGIPACK? The responses of this question informed us that the audience think the most important aspect of the digipack is the imagery, this heavily influenced the decision to put an image on every side of our digipack when we design it. It almost means that the imagery we do use has to be well thought out and adapted so that our audience likes it.


QUESTION 6&7: DOES THE VIDEO MATCH THE SONG STYLE? AND SHOULD WE CREATE A DIGIPACK OF THE SAME STYLE? In this question, we showed the audience our Rough Cut, we did this for multiple reasons. One reason was so we know that our ideas for the music video was well liked and received, but also so we knew what style to use when designing our digipack.
