2. Lingamala Falls Lingamala is an absolutely breathtaking waterfall that is located between the Mahabaleshwar-Pune highway. The Lingmala Waterfall provides a panaroma of the breathtaking Dhobi Waterfall and the Chinaman's Waterfall. The height of the waterfall is nearly 500. The ideal time to pay this waterfall a visit is during the rainy seasons when there is sufficient water in the river Venna which forms the waterfall. 3. Pratapgarh Fort Built by Maharaja Chattrapati Shivaji in 1656, the Pratapgarh Fort is located 24km from Mahabaleshwar. The fort is a maze of gorgeous ponds, old chambers and dark paths and houses the Bhavani Temple as well as the Tomb of Afzal Khan. The fort was built to commemorate the win of Shivaji Maharaj over Afzal Khan and has a double streak of fortification as its unique feature.

4. Connaught Peak Perched at  a  height of 1400m above sea level, the Connaught Peak was earlier called  Mount  Olympia  and  was  second  highest  hill  stations  of  the  country.  The  peak  offers  a magnificent  view  of  Lake  Venna  cuddles  by  the  Krishna  Valley.  Other  places  that  you  can  see  from  this  point are Panchgani, Pasarani Ghat towards the east and Partapgarh in the west.  

5. Krishnabai Temple Krishnabai Temple is believed to be the starting point of Krishna River and is shrouded by the  renowned  Panchganga  temple,  the  meeting  point of five rivers Koyna, Krishna, Venna, Savitri  and  Gayatri.  The  adjoining  Krishnabai  temple  requires  a  bit  of  off-track  walking  to  arrive  at.  the  well-kept  temple  of  stunning  architecture  lying  among  the  thick  woods  has not seen the  fury of urbanization.
