Style statement with clothing Author: Henrik Holt
Winter is a season to get warm and cozy. People indulge in gorging on hot food, hot beverages. Mostly heavy category food, which normally we would hesitate to eat, is savored with great taste. This is the magic of winter; it gives one a freedom to indulge in good food eating. Winter is a season of festivals as well. It also offers people to wear warm woolens, which are otherwise abandoned into the closet. The most popular garment in winter season is the sweaters or Sweatshirts. This is a garment intended to specially protect arms and torso. One more garment like shirt or blouse can be worn underneath. There are various types of these sweaters such as hoodie, pull over etc. The hoodie is a sweatshirt with a hood attached to it. The history of this garment dates back to year 1930. But the design and style was already in use in the middle ages. The formal wear for Catholic monks included a cowl, a long, decorative hood worn in addition to the standard tunic or robes. The modern clothing style was first produced by Champion for laborers in the frozen warehouses of New York. Its popularity spread as sportswear designers such as Clarie McCardell developed entire collections based around the clothing. The hoodie took off in the 1970s as several factors contributed to its success. Hip hop culture developed in New York City around this time, and the hoodie's element of instant anonymity, provided by the accessible hood, appealed to those with criminal intent. Many of the movies show such criminals wearing hoodie and covering their head. The cap helps in disguising. Jakker are one of the necessary office wear. Many people, including women now wear the jacket for making an impression. It offers a freedom to be stitched in variety of material type like cotton, linen, jute, satin etc. the jackets can be worn as per season. There are light weight options for summer and synthetic blends for rains, where clothes need to dry up
quickly and easily, finally, the woolen blends for winters. But this formal wear is never out of fashion. The office goers bank on this clothing type for that executive look. The official meetings or gettogethers are incomplete without this dress code. They appear on the must list for business travelers.

Ski boots are made of thick and longlasting plastic that are specially crafted to fit in the ski. Shoes of a different make are apt for dancing purposes. Pointe shoe and Ballet shoes are used for ballet dancing. Ghillies are soft shoes that are designed to support Irish, Scottish and highland dancer performers. Tap shoes have a metal plate included which gives the loud noise when used in Tap dancing. Ballroom shoes are of two categories – Ballroom and Latin American. Latin American shoes are designed with high heels to shift more weight to the toes and are more flexible than ballroom shoes which have low heels to help distribute weight across the foot. Work shoes are typically made to withstand heavy wear and tear. They are made for industrial staff like miners, construction laborers, and military personnel. Leather shoes are also used as uniform by school students, nurses, waitresses, etc.
Shoes wear out due to constant usage. You need to take care and maintain your footwear to keep the look intact. Regularly polish leather shoes and boots. Sanitize the shoes to prevent it from growth of bacteria or fungus. Replace shoelaces and shoe soles when worn out. Purchase shoes that are comfortable for your feet. Look slender and chic this winter. One of the most marvelous months of the year is November and December and one of the most striking reasons for them being one is that they are the coldest months. Freezing temperature, icecold gust, and coarse weather is characteristic of all winters; these conditions can freeze anybody. Regardless of the season, normal work schedule has to continue and cannot be halted due to climatic conditions. Winter also means a lot of pleasurable, winter activities like making snowman, snow fighting, ice skating, skiing, etc all this can be fun if you can endure the cold and severe weather. You can shield yourself from the severity of the winter by using the correct kind of winter attire and accessories. Winter wear can give you safety and aid from the stormy weather. During winter, legs and hands get affected largely and get frozen with the chillness. The nerve endings in the feet and hands can make your entire body shiver with cold. Legs and hands need as much as necessary protection to keep your body warm in subzero temperatures. Winter Støvler and winter Handsker offer enough protection and warmth to your legs and hands during wintry weather. When shopping for your winter wardrobe you should go for clothing that can help you stay warm and make you look smart at the same time. A simple way to minimize the number of clothing layers you wear is to choose fabrics that give you more warmness. Choosing warmer outfits will let you dress in smaller amount pileons without getting cold. Choosing gloves for the winter can be difficult. If you choose gloves that are too thin, you risk having freezing your hands all through snowwhite season. If your gloves are too weighty, you can have problems holding on to your gloves. And choosing the winter boots is something which needs a lot of careful thinking. You should buy shoes which are can withstand in the low temperatures as well as maintain the warm temperature inside. If you will be managing lots of ice and snow in winter, you should consider a waterproof option, among gloves and boots. If you will be ice fishing or handling freezing water, you must purchase pair of gloves and pair of boots that will allow your hands and feet to stay completely dry always, even in freezing conditions. These special kinds of gloves and boots may be a little more expensive than ordinary gloves and boots, but the shield against icecold water is well worth it.
Embellishments that sets you apart from the crowd Imagine this: you are going to the party, everything is ready your dress, your makeup, your gift, your perfume and you decide to wear the same old Sko which you bought it last time and can’t buy a new one as all your money was spent on buying that one pair. Sounds similar?? If the answer is yes then you need to just to renew on your appeal. If you fail to pay attention to what you put on your feet, your concept of the perfect outfit might turn into a failure. The easiest step for a chic look is selecting the paramount footwear that harmonize with your attire, rather than ones that clash or mismatch with your outfit. We’re all blameworthy of falling for the way shoes or Støvler look on the shelves, and not essentially the way they look on our feet. If you want your feet to look as beautiful as the shoes they're wearing, you must unearth styles that truly cajole your feet. There are a few things to be kept in mind when you are shopping for shoes that will make your feet look really cool. This first rule of finding foot gratifying footwear is a straightforward one, but it's habitually unnoticed. If you have unattractive toes, opt for sandals with a closed toe, or try peeptoe sandals so they are lessrevealing and it is a style that covers the parts you hate most. Rough heels won't look good in flipflops, but there are plenty of sandals with open toes that still wrap the backside of your feet. Flipflop sandals are far more casual in look; they're typically made of rubber, polyvinyl, fluff, webbing, or some other sort of materials. Whereas Thong sandals are the ones come in a wide range of diverse materials, attribute different heel types and heights, and can be quite spendthrift. Always highlight the nice things about your feet. Your shoes ought to fit if you desire your feet to look really stunning. They shouldn't be too loose, and not even too tight. They will look ugly also they would be uncomfortable. To make your ugly feet better a hint of glittery hardware, a crystal stud, or even a few metallic threads woven into the upper part of a shoe will add glamour and sex appeal to your outfit. Nearly every shoe, and indeed every foot can profit from just a bit of wellplaced bling.
Men’s Wear: Russian Style The Russian military has a saying, “We may be few in number, but we wear telnyashkas!” Worn by sailors of the Russian navy, the Russian Airborne and the Russian Marines, the telnyashka is a dark undershirt with white horizontal stripes, with or without sleeves. It is said to symbolize pride and manliness for its wearers. The telnyashka was popularized by Vassili Zaitsev. Vassili was an officer in the Soviet Pacific Fleet who was later commissioned as a sniper. He played an important part in the battle of Stalingrad. All along his duty he refused to give up his telnyashka because he felt proud wearing it. The telnyashkas were later also incorporated into the airborne forces after modernization by General Margelov. The telnyashka still emanates an elite status for the wearer in Russia.
In Russia, official military uniforms of the navy, marines and the airborne have no shirts. The upper half of the body can only be attired with specially made jackets, the telnyashkas remain visible. So it is not considered a part of the Undertøj but something to be worn with pride. Telnyashkas are also available commercially for the civilian customers of the country. They however, wear it as underwear. There are few who would like to flaunt it, like teenagers, and feel like a real man! The military variant of this shirt comes with a single thread knitting, but, double and quadruple knittings have also been experimented with for increasing warmth and/or comfort. Interestingly, quadruple telnyashkas, even without Jakker or any other forms of attire on top of them, can keep a person comfortably warm even at temperatures of 46°C. Divers sometimes wear it under their suits to keep warm in the frigid waters. The telnyashka has evolved with time. Not only has the knit patterns been altered but variations in the use of material and color has also been noticed. The stripes on these shirts can be altered to mark separate groups or parts of the army. For example, ‘blue’ signify paratroopers and the Spetnaz, ‘light green’ signify the border guards, ‘red’ signify the OMON and MVD and the common ‘black’ signifies the naval infantry or the marines. Whatever be the case, few countries have military attire which has been so passionately worn by its soldiers. The Russian sailors and others who wear telnyashkas consider wearing one to be of a great honor, comparable to only the honor begotten from serving the motherland.
Rock On! There evolved, in the mid 1980s in England, a particular type or form of music. It was influenced by, had mostly a fusion of, Hardcore Punk, Extreme Metal and Anarcho Punk. This style was called “Crust” or ‘crust punk’. The crust punk songs had dark, pessimistic and gothic lyrics criticizing the political and social ‘diseases’ plaguing the society. Most critics define this type of punk as being both dirty and having too much of bass. They are regarded as, just simply, ‘noise’ by many. The instruments are often too loud and the vocals have to be guttural to keep up. The vocalists generally growl and scream, so there is no actual musical singing involved and more than often the lyrics are hard to decipher amidst the chaos. Crust punk bands as Doom, Antisect, Nausea, Amebix, Hellbastard etc were influenced by anarcho punk bands as Discharge, Crass andVEnom. Crust is basically a derivative type of a fusion of hardcore, metal riffs and anarcho punk. The songs are played at a fast tempo. The pace, however, comes short of thrashcore or grindcore. However, even with the fast tempos most songs have small and slow sections. The drummer and the guitarists literally are pushed to their limits in terms of play speed. Even so, crust has
remained an underground form of music. The lyrics of the song are shouted and shrieked by two or more vocals. If you want to go to a crust punk concert to listen to some musical singing then I would advise you to stay home and watch “Exorcist” as it would be far less torturing and horrifying! But for the adrenaline junkie these concerts are heaven. The lyrics of the songs revolve around fascism, nuclear war, military, government, love, oppression and so on. Mysticism has also been a subject, though used rarely. The fashion of Crust Punk is DoItYourself type of punkfashion. Most of the clothing is black in color, including the makeup. Dreadlocks are a distinguishable feature of this fashion. Hooded Sweatshirts and denim Jakker have sewn on band patches on them. Vests are often covered with studs and spikes. Crust punk in recent days has fused with other musical forms to evolve and give birth to new forms. The types include Industrial, Grind core, Power Violence, and Black Metal. However, it continues to maintain its originality.
