The Introduction My personal goals to the Advance Course Themepark Economics were: 1. During the Advance Course Themepark Economics, I want to learn more about the economic image of theme parks. 2. During the Advance Course Themepark Economics, I want to be able to give advice on investments in the theme park industry. 3. During the Advance Course Themepark Economics, I want to find out how the theme park of a theme park looks like. (when I sometimes walk in a park, I think, how can they keep it all running with the income they have)? 4. During the Advance Course Themepark Economics, I want to find out what the biggest and most important revenue item of a theme park is. During the lesson "Themepark Economics", the teacher, Pieter Cornelis, indicated that you can choose something that you like to do with the individual piece. For example, calculate the capacity of a park. I was triggered by this and tried to find an assignment that I like both: where I can lose my creativity, but that I can apply the substance of the lessons "Themepark Economics". That's why I invented a theme park and designed a fictional budget, calculating the capacity of the park, types of attractions, infrastructure, and landscape. I am very happy with the final product and had a lot of fun in designing my own theme park. When I was young, I fantasized about an own theme park, I think of a fun park in London that is aimed at musicals (my hobby) or a theme park aimed at food. However, I found the assignment difficult and sometimes the lessons difficult to follow. However, I tried to get the best out. I wish you a lot of reading pleasure!

Theme park

Society feels healthy food and a healthy lifestyle important. In addition, food must also be fresh and organic and produced in a fair and responsible manner, think of Tony's Chocolonely, which stands for 100% slave-free chocolate. The next chapter goes deeper into Dream Candy: what does the park look like? What is the budget? And how do we get to investors?

Candy Dream 5% of the Dutch indicate that they have been eating healthier in the past year. (Food Vision, 2016). The number of consumers that pays attention to sustainable aspects in purchasing products or services is in 2014 with no less than 12% to 42% (CSR Netherlands, 2014). Organic food has become a marketplace of tens of billions of euros worldwide. How can investors respond to this trend? (FD, 2017) These are all quotes from the news and can be said: (healthy) food is a trend. Society is becoming more and more aware and therefore I believe that this "trend" can also be used for entertainment, in my view, a theme park. The park The park will be called Candy Dream and has everything to do with food. It is a theme park for food and will also have different theme areas. Sweets land: area for the youngest. The children can slide from slides with "sour mats". Steak land: area for the adventurers. In this area are the big roller coasters and the bbq restaurants Healthy land: area for the fitgirls, fitboys and other people who love a healthy lifestyle. Food festivals can also be given in this country. This country is also the base for the park. The guests are first in Healthy Land. Chocolate land: chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Chocolate waterfalls, Tony's Chocolonely as a main point. The park will be near Schiphol Amsterdam so it is easily accessible for people from the Netherlands and for international guests. Then the park will be about 30 hectares.  Research has shown that 30 hectares of land will cost about 1.8 million euros. (NVM, 2017) Revenue: Many companies are interested in food, political institutions like municipalities, healthcare and multinationals like Coca-Cola and Tony's Chocolonely. In addition, there is also a large group of "food and lifestyle bloggers and vloggers". Dream Candy could use these bloggers and vloggers as influencers, thus providing more visits. I believe there is enough interest from business to invest in the new amusement park. There are enough figures that confirm that "food" lives in society. The fictional budget for the new theme park is 50 million euros.

RIDE SELECTION and capacity In this chapter, the types of attractions will be mentioned and the capacity of it. In the first year, the park needs a visitor number of 800,000 guests, a challenge, but I believe this concept will succeed. A capacity analysis will calculate whether the park could handle capacity.

MAIN AREA healthy land Healthy land is the basis of Candy Dream. Health is one of the most important things in our lives. We will keep the dĂŠcor of Disneyland as a format. Research has shown that a central point in the middle of the park makes the structure for the guest. Therefore, a "Fruity Castle" will be built in the middle of Healthy Land, and also of Candy Dream. The road to the castle next to there will be nice vegetable companies.

RIDE SELECTION healthy land 1. Fruity Castle: This is a beautiful attraction, in the middle of the park. The castle will be 30 meters high and have 5 acres of land. The attraction is fruit and vegetable, as are the turrets of strawberries and beautiful apple trees around the castle. Inside the castle is an indoor interactive attraction. By means of a gun, guests have to shoot the "bacteria" of the fruit. You are going through a world of fruits and vegetables, a cook who wants to make the most delicious and healthy recipes for his guests. But unfortunately, there are little bacteria who want to eat healthy. The task of the guests is to hit as many bacteria as possible and to achieve the highest score. As capacity, the capacity of "Maus au Chocolat" from Phantasialand has been accepted, which has a capacity of 960 guests per hour. (Parkworld, 2012) The castle and the interactive dark ride will cost about 8 million euros. 2. The Walk of Fruit The road to the castle leads to local fruit farmers, just like Main Street USA of Disneyland Paris. Entrepreneurs can rent a place at Candy Dream to position their shop or restaurant. It's all about health, for example: a smoothie bar, pancake restaurant, lactosefree cafe, shops, fruit bowl bar, fruity lollipops, etc. The cost of the properties will be a total of 500,000 euros, but the entrepreneurs themselves have to pay the equipment. An entrepreneur can then rent a property for â‚Ź 700, - per month.

Budget

Conclusion The attractions are chosen, the budget is spent and the capacity is calculated. My mission has been successful. From the lessons of Pieter Cornelis, you have found that you have lost almost half of your budget for thematization. And that's right, I've noticed. The park does not yet attract many attractions, so the capacity is not high enough. However, the park is mainly aimed at food and the park can also be used for other purposes such as foodtruck festivals, food festivals, music festivals, lifestyle festivals, congresses etc. In addition, I believe that if you do things you have to doing well. So not half-thaematized to build another attraction from that other budget.
