LandArt A expressão "land art" refere-se às criações artísticas que utilizam como suporte, tema ou meio de expressão o espaço exterior. A partir do final da década de 60 torna-se evidente a procura da natureza (o campo, o deserto ou, mais raramente, o espaço urbano e o mar) por alguns artistas, inicialmente americanos, mas integrando significativas contribuições de artistas ingleses e holandeses, para desenvolverem obras de arte. Estes artistas, que se integram num movimento cultural mais vasto que preconiza o "regresso à natureza", têm a intenção de ultrapassar as limitações do espaço tradicional das galerias, recusando o sentido comercial e mercantilista que a produção artística assumia nesta década. Quase todas as manifestações de Land Art são efémeras, ligando-se intimamente à paisagem para e na qual foram criadas, procurando normalmente locais incessíveis ao público.

Estas experiências, destruídas mais ou menos rapidamente por ação do tempo e dos agentes naturais, colocam o problema da perenidade da obra e determinam a necessidade de usar meios de registo e de documentação como o vídeo ou a fotografia. Muitos destes trabalhos são apenas conhecidos pelos documentos que os representam. Na origem da Land Art esteve a tendência para utilização de elementos naturais, como a pedra, a terra e o sal como meio expressivo e como elementos constituintes das obras de arte, presente nas obras de Walter de Maria e de Robert Smithson. A corrente da Land Art apresenta duas tendências. Uma, mais delicada, entende o natural como lugar de experimentação, com grande liberdade de ação. Foi protagonizada pelo holandês Marinus Bozem e pelos ingleses Barry Flannagan e Richard Long, que realizaram trabalhos com folhas e pedras, colocados na paisagem onde pretendiam colocar em paralelo diferentes formas naturais. Outra tendência, centrada nos Estados Unidos, exprime-se de forma mais radical e espetacular. Uma das suas experiências mais conhecidas é a "Espiral", realizada por Robert Smithson em 1970, no Great Salt Lake, construída com terra e pedra sobre a água, numa extensão superior a quatrocentos metros, posteriormente destruída pela própria água. “White River Line” Richard Long, 1994


Landscape Revisited The relation of Slovaks with their natural environment is undeniable and artists didn’t miss the chance to make of nature an important part of their work, especially between 70s and 80s. This tradition, which is becoming somehow debilitated, is the departure point for the ‘Landscape, revisited’ residency project, which aims to bring back the discussion about the pertinence of art outside the gallery in a context where creativity shouldn’t be limited by walls, place, elites or money.


The goal is create a longterm Land art collection which will be unique in the area, at the same time that involves local people in the process and provides to the village new identitary symbols, creates different jobs related with ecotourism and points the importance to preserve a way of life closer to nature. The strategical location of Dúbravica, allows to create a link between Eastern and Western parts of Europe which will enrich the generation of ideas and connection between artists and their work. Thanks to an original initiative by artist Andrej Poliak, and in collaboration with the non-profit organization ARTTODAY (Ján Viazanicka, Ján Kostolanský, Andrej Poliak, Andrej Gregorcok, Radoslav Ondrišák) and Dúbravica’s council, this event continues with a noble interest of placing art in outsider places around Slovakia. Their series of cultural events Periférne Centrá has been running in many villages of Slovakia and Romania, as a celebration of collective work and spontaneity. For this time, ‘Landscape, revisited’ residency is expected to have a direct and lasting impact in Dúbravica’s life. Artists invited are request to work during 10 days in mid August on at least one semipermanent piece among one defined track in Dúbravica’s Land art incipient gallery, which should be related to the ecological environment. The last day, a big celebration will be held for inaugurate the track and at the same time, critics and young curators will be invited to admire the works All the events will be registered on and discuss about the video and immediately shared on Interactual situation of net’s social networks in order to have Land art in Slovakia. a wider range of public.

Uma co-produção entre Vincent Patar e Stéphane Aubier belga, que esteve na lista dos pré-nomeados ao Óscar de Melhor Filme de Animação. Inserida no IndieJúnior, o filme apresenta a história de um grupo de brinquedos de plástico, como um cowboy, um índio e um cavalo que também possuem problemas. Quando o cowboy e o índio planeiam uma festa de aniversário com fogo de artifício para o cavalo, sem querer eles acabam por destruir a casa do animal.


A “Galeria” é um espaço reservado a jovens artistas, dos quais sao espostos alguns dos seus trabalhos. Nesta ediçao da revista Mr. Ro, temos a participação de: Yuri Rodrigues

Yuri Rodriges nasceu a 01/01/88 na localidade de Sintra. A sua primeira ligaçaõ com a pintura foi em 2000, através da arte urbana (grafithi), onde se dedicou e aprofundou o seu conhecimento em Geometria, letring e o funcionamento de cores durante 3 anos. Após essa experiéncia desside envergar no campo professional de Design de equipamento , com a intençao de perceber qual a dinamica e o design inovador de objectos do quotidiano. Acaba o curso em 2006, e nao satisfeito com a aprendizagem, opta por nao seguir o ramo. Conhece nessa mesma altura o movimento surrealista através de Salvador Dali , e desde logo nasce um grande interesse e curiosidade pela pintura.

Slackline Slacklining is a practice in balance that typically uses 1 inch nylon webbing tensioned between two anchor points. Slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut (although it is still under some tension); it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline. The line's tension can be adjusted to suit the user and different types of webbing can be used to achieve a variety of feats.

The line itself is flat, due to the nature of webbing, thus keeping the slacker's footing from rolling as would be the case with an ordinary rope. The dynamic nature of the line allows for impressive tricks and stunts.

Styles of slacklining Urbanlining Urbanlining or urban slacklining combines all the different styles of slacklining. It is practiced in urban area, for example in city parks and on the streets. Most urban slackliners prefer wide 2-inch lines for tricklining on the streets, but some may use narrow (5/8-inch or 1-inch) lines for longline purposes or for waterlining on the beaches. Tricklining Tricklining is the most common type of slacklining because it can be set up between almost any two secure points. Tricklining is done low to the ground, and as such it is also often called "lowlining." A great number of tricks can be done on the line, and because the sport is fairly new, there is plenty of room for new tricks. Some of the basic tricks done today are standing, stand start, walking[3], walking backwards, turns, drop knee, opposite turn around, and bounce walking. Some intermediate tricks include: moonwalk, throwing a disc around with someone from lineto-line, sit start, Buddha sit, mantle start, sitting down, lying down, jump start, cross-legged knee drop,

surfing forward, surfing sideways, and jump turns, or "180s." Some of the advanced/expert tricks are: back flip landing on the line, jumps[4] referred to as "ollies", tree plants, front flip dismount, back flip dismount, doing push-ups, tandem walking, the tandem pass, piggyback rides across the line, jumping from line-to-line, and 360s.


Highlining Highlining is slacklining at large distances above the ground or water. Many slackliners consider highlining to be the pinnacle of the sport. Highlines are commonly set up in locations that have been used or are still used for Tyrolean traverse. When rigging highlines, experienced slackers take measures to ensure that solid, redundant and equalized anchors are used to secure the line into position. Modern highline rigging typi-

cally entails a mainline of webbing, backup webbing, and either climbing rope or amsteel rope for redundancy. It is also common to pad all areas of the rigging which might come in contact with abrasive surfaces. To ensure safety, most highliners wear a climbing harness or swami belt with a leash attached to the slackline itself; however, unleashed walks of highlines are not unheard of.

Unusual Suspects Organisation promoting high quality international musical events since 2003 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The main genres of music we’re talking about are: drum&bass, nuskoolbreaks, dubstep,downtempo, ragga and others related to these.

It is an initiative related by all means to the underground music scene and culture. Our main goal is to promote, listen, create and exchange, focusing on organising events and performing in Romania and abroad. We also create music and promote artists and labels from our country or abroad.

The Unusual Suspects Organsiation was born in 2003 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Apart from playing , the Suspects’ activity consisted in organising DRUM&BASS, BREAKS, DUBSTEP and LIVE MUSIC events.By 2011 the Suspects had organised around 100 events showcasing the world’s best dj’s alongside promoting fresh names from the national scene.


Previous guests include: GOLDIE, DILLINJA, BAILEY, STORM, ERB N DUB, FUTURE PROPHECIES, MC NAVIGATOR,BAD COMPANY UK, NOISIA, BSE, LOXY, INK,FUNSTA MC, Big Bud, SUV, Shroombab, Jay Rome, SKC, Darko Stepic, Bratwa, Metasound,Erka, Base-X, Psyon and the Romanians Roli Breaker,Dudu, MC Tina, Snow, Klin, Vasile, Injektah, Hazee, Rapala etc. Other activities include music production,radio and newspaper collaboration, press affiliations. Playing around the country and abroad, bringing the best artists and vibes to the local public, getting in touch with music and people worldwide, this is what it’s all about.

Die Antwoord lead vocalist Ninja (born Watkin Tudor Jones) was a part of the South African hip-hop scene for many years, fronting acts such as The Original Evergreen, MaxNormal.TV and The Constructus Corporation.He is known for adopting different stage personas. In the case of Die Antwoord his persona is Ninja: a vulgar and aggressive character who is very different from his previous incarnations. When asked whether Ninja was a character he said, "Ninja is, how can I say, like Superman is to Clark Kent. The only difference is, I don't take off this fokken Superman suit.


Die Antwoord was later created as a group in 2008, consisting of performers Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er (Yolandi Visser), and DJ Hi-Tek. Their debut album $O$ was made available as a free download on their official website.$O$ features Cape Flats rappers Garlic Brown (aka Knoffel Bruin), Scallywag and Isaac Mutant, and Jack Parow and Jaak Paarl (aka Jaak). In 2009 South African cinematographer Rob Malpage (along with co-director Ninja) shot the video for their single "Enter the Ninja�.The video became popular on the internet nine months later, delivering millions of hits to the official Die Antwoord website. Their original South African hosting provider, Hetzner, disabled their hosting account following massive bandwidth overage caused by the traffic following the site launch.The group was forced to move their website to a US-based hosting provider to handle the traffic. The "Enter The Ninja" video also features the late Leon Botha, a prominent Cape Town artist who was one of the world's oldest and most well known survivors of progeria.. Following the success of the video, Ninja and Yo-Landi were flown business class to Los Angeles where they signed record deal with Interscope Records, home of artists including Dr Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga. In April 2010, Die Antwoord performed their first international concert at the Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, California, in front of 40,000 people.


Die Antwoord performs music which incorporates many Zef elements and references. According to the band, Zef is a South African slang term that describes a unique South African style which is modern and trashy and also includes out-of-date, discarded cultural and style elements.[12] Both Ninja and Yolandi have offered definitions of zef. Yolandi was quoted as saying, "It's associated with people who soup their cars up and rock gold and shit. Zef is, you're poor but you're fancy. You're poor but you're sexy, you've got style."Their lyrics are performed in Afrikaans, Xhosa, and English
