Gone are the bubble-chasing days, balloon-diving moments, and lollipop licking hours. My life is full of fun, excitement and love. I feel blessed for having been given the most precious gifts of all; my loving parents, brothers, siters, wonderful family and friends. And I thank God for giving me seventeen years to experience love and be loved. Their existence, support, love and concern made me who and what I am today. To my mom, to the best mom in the world, for giving me life, thank you. I owe everything to you. For all the sacrifices, my words will never be enough to make you feel how thankful I am for having you. To dad, wherever you are, I want to let you know that I still love you. You both are my greatest treasures. To my brothers and sister , I may never be that vocal to tell you from time to time the words “I love you” ...but, God knows. Thank you for the love and care, thank you for being my personal hero, my best friends, my mentor and protector and simply by letting me feel how good it feels to have you around. During my 18 years, I’ve learned how important family is. You will never meet anyone who loves you as much as your family does and if anything, your family will always be there for you no matter what. My family supports me in everything I do. All their time and money cannot express how much they love me because love is more than any of that. Love between families is a special bond of time, laughs, smiles and memories. Love is something that family doesn’t have to say to each other because we already know and I am blessed to have a family that loves me in every way possible. I cannot stress enough about how much I love you. But I want to let you know that you are my forever and with you, life is worth fighting and living for. To my cousins, relatives and closest friends who are here and are not, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being a part of my life. For the tears and laughter we’ve shared and for everything we’ve been through, thank you. I won’t be who I am today if not because of you. Right in your heart is where I find my way home. A place where Kim, in good times and bad will be welcomed and will be accepted for who she is and she’s not. And above all, to God, thank you for letting me experience how wonderful life is. I am your forever proud child.”
