Dear Sir/Madame My name is Helen Ho and I am currently in my final year at the University of Salford studying Product Design. I am contacting you because I am about to commence my final major project. I have seen your work and I would love for you to join me on my journey with your input and expertise. The subject matter is communication: how has technology changed the way we communicate. I have attached a copy of the brief and a summary of the supporting research that I have undergone. This will help you get a feel for the project. Coming on board with this would entail an average of four meetings over a twelve week period, between 31/01/14 ‐ 16/06/14. These meeting will of course be at your convenience and fit around your schedule. You will be invited to attend the final assessment presentation which is likely to take place around mid‐May, but the date has yet to be confirmed. There will also be an invitation for you to come to the degree show which the finished project will be showcased in and this will be situated at MediaCityUK. The reason I feel like you will be a valued member of this project is that I feel you can bring your experience and expertise, of this particular field, to help guide this project. On top of that, I feel having you a as a mentor will help bring the element of real world practise to the project. If you are excited about this opportunity as I am or want to know more detail please feel free to contact me at H.Ho@edu.salford.ac.uk. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Helen
