The future of Cantonese is under threat as mandarin is replacing it, an obvious phenomenon that Cantonese native speakers have significantly decreased, meanwhile Chinese native speakers have slightly increased. Yet, Hong Kong Cantonese is worthy to be inherited as Cantonese embodies profound of behind local culture and history.
