Sustainable Mini House description The goal of this project was to create a sustainable, 600 square foot or less, mini home on Chicago’s North Side. In addition to the challenging size, the main objective of this project is to achieve the highest LEED level as possible.

concept The inspiration for my mini home was an open concept floor plan that brings in a lot of natural light to make the space seem large. The home also utilized all spaces for extra storage. The rooftop balcony garden also brings the outdoors into the master suite.

Combo Table description The aim of the project was to create a useable piece of furniture out of a 4’ x 8’ sheet of birch plywood, using CNC technology. We were responsible for sanding, painting, and finishing the piece.

concept Combo table was inspired by the idea of materialism and the emptiness that it portrays. The cut outs represent the gaps that materialism creates in society.

Space Planning description The Les Turner ALS Foundation is looking for a new office space in downtown Chicago. They are looking to expand and need a fully handicap accessible office. A large open area is also required to hold events, along with ample storage space.

concept The office is inspired by earth tones with added pops of color, which creates a warm and fun energy. Clean lines are mixed with organic shapes to create movement and flow. An open feeling will be created by using different textures and materials such as bamboo, glass, and metal.
