From your first discussions with your Personal Wedding Planner, to the moment your last guest departs, the Cabarfeidh Hotel team is dedicated to making your wedding day perfect.

Experience and skill

The key to success is in the attention to every detail, enabling our experienced staff to bring your ideas to life. The Cabarfeidh Hotel has provided a wonderful environment for wedding receptions for so long that we’re now hosting receptions for the daughters and sons of our original happy couples. For those who prefer it, the wedding ceremony may also take place in the hotel.

Packages to suit

There’s a choice of complete packages that cover the needs of our wedding couples, but if there’s something that you would like and it’s not already in one of our packages, just ask.

Complimentary bonuses

You’ll also enjoy complimentary benefits, including a room for the bride and groom, and a celebration meal for two on your first anniversary.

Relax- we help make planning a pleasure

Planning your wedding is a joyful process, filled with anticipation and excitement. At the Cabarfeidh Hotel, we’ll help you achieve your dreams for your special day. Explore initial ideas for your wedding in a relaxed, no obligation meeting with your Personal Wedding Planner. Entrusting us with your celebration, your Wedding Planner will take responsibility for the occasion, right up to the moment the last guest leaves the hotel. You’ll be able to tour the hotel, view bedrooms and banqueting suites, so that you can choose the best for your day. cabarfeidh@calahotels.com • 01851 702604 debbie@calahotels.com • 01851 702604

Your Wedding Planner will discuss menus, wine and drinks packages with you, drawing up a shortlist of your choices, followed by a tasting at a later date, so that you can be certain your final selections are exactly right for you and your guests. You can also discuss any additional topics, such as accommodation for your guests at preferential rates, decorations, musicians and discos

Choices - Your Wedding Day, Your Way

If you want something that’s different to the traditional, please talk to our wedding planner and we’ll do our utmost to help you achieve your dreams. With the celebrant’s agreement, we can offer civil or religious ceremonies in the hotel and gardens. If you have booked a wedding on a beach or other beauty spot and provided you have arranged your reception with us, we can offer a hotel ceremony as a poor weather back-up location. Traditionally, following a church wedding, guests relax at the hotel while photographs are taken in the gardens, in the Lews Castle Grounds opposite the hotel, or at a nearby beach. In case of poor weather, we have provision for photography indoors. On your arrival, you may wish to relax in your complimentary room, before joining your close families in welcoming guests to the reception suite -adding a little friendly formality to the proceedings. The cake is usually cut before the meal and we can supply a ceremonial knife for the occasion. We recommend that speeches and toasts are made before the meal, so that speakers can relax and enjoy their dinner. Many couples take the opportunity to invite those who missed the earlier celebration to join the dance party - arrange an additional buffet and drinks to be served during this evening reception. It’s an excellent way to extend your hospitality and your Wedding Planner can help you make your selection.

your party, the terms of these booking conditions. Your Reservation All reservations are confirmed only after your reservation form is signed and returned, together with a non-refundable deposit of £250. The Cabarfeidh Hotel reserves the right to cancel your function if payment conditions are not upheld. Receipt of your booking deposit confirms your acceptance of all terms and conditions. Prices Package prices shown within this folder are valid for 3 months from the date supplied. If your wedding reception will take place more than 3 months after your reservation, prices may change, due to fluctuations in the price of food supplies, etc. The final price will be confirmed, 3 months prior to the reception date. In the unlikely event that a final price difference is unacceptable, we will offer you an opportunity to revise the menu, to fit your budget. Menus Dishes on your menu are principally prepared using fresh ingredients. In the unlikely event of any unforeseen shortage of ingredients at the time of your wedding, we reserve the right to substitute, but will contact you to discuss any required change of menu. Pre order for choices will be required one month prior. Wedding Locations We will do our best to assist you in booking locations for your wedding, other than Places of Worship or Registry Offices. We cannot take responsibility for non-availability of the chosen location due to reasons beyond our control, such as refusal of license, change of ownership, weather conditions, etc. In the event of unavailability due to weather conditions, as an indication of goodwill, we will instead offer use of the Cabarfeidh Hotel for your ceremony, at a cost not exceeding that of the originally booked location. Cancellation In the event of a cancellation, the following Cancellation Charges will be applicable: • More than 4 weeks prior to wedding – loss of the £250 booking deposit. • Less than 4 weeks prior to event – 50% of the estimated value. It is advisable that you take out wedding insurance for cover of an unforeseen cancellation. Payment A deposit of £250 will be invoiced for payment within 28 days of your reservation. This amount is non-refundable, but will be deducted from the total cost of your wedding package. 6 weeks prior to your Event, we will invoice 50% of the total estimated charge for your wedding event (based on the package/s selected and the guest numbers expected) to be paid no later than 28 days before your Event. Four weeks prior to your Event a finalised arrangements list will be issued to be agreed by both parties; any alterations to your event after this point may result in a supplementary cost being charged to the remaining balance of your account. Payment of the balance of your account is due 7 days before your Event, unless otherwise arranged and agreed in writing. Health and Safety We will endeavour to accommodate any special request in respect of entertainment, room decor, etc, but it is a legal requirement that we comply with all applicable Health and Safety legislations and requests should be cleared with your Wedding Planner at least 28 days prior to the function. Because of vehicular access to the hotel and other features of the building and grounds, children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We encourage guests to enjoy the garden walks, but please note that care must be taken as walkways, lawns, steps and stairs may be slippery, particularly when wet. Damage to Property The Hirer shall pay for any loss or damage to any part of the hotel premises, or to any fixtures, fittings and equipment which are caused by the Hirer or guest or paid servants. We will not be held responsible for loss of or damage to any article brought onto the premises, except within the constraints of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956. Any case of loss or damage to property must be reported and recorded at the time with the Duty Manager. Alcohol No alcoholic beverages purchased off the hotel premises may be brought onto or consumed on our licensed premises. The hotel will automatically charge the bridal account or individual guest, should this policy not be adhered to. To comply with current legislation, we cannot permit under-age drinking. We promote sensible drinking limits and reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated guests. Drugs We operate a zero tolerance policy on illegal drugs and will report any incident to the Police for immediate action.
