HMH
Teacher Space CLIENT Houghton Mifflin Harcourt/ Scholastic

PROJECT Consulting HMH’s team Learning Management System (LMS) easing teachers’ classroom processes by providing learning material, data visualizations.

CONTRIBUTIONS User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Visual Design, Live Prototyping, Style Guide Creation

DYNAMICS Contracted as a UX/UI Designer on an Agile team over a span of 6 months. Effectively increased product value to company leadership and importantly, product users. Contributed rapid iterations of whiteboard sketches, user flows, information architectures, and data visualizations while effectively communicating daily in scrum meetings with clients and team. Utilized Scaled Agile Framework processes while updating team project management tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Iterative Design Thinking

Conclusions from rapid sketches and prototyping makes digital prototyping a breeze. A developer on the team created a live webprototype as our wireframes evolved. This greatly assisted project management in presenting concepts to stakeholders for approval.

HOUGHTON MIFFLIN HARCOURT

Visual Design

Our engagement with HMH moved from UX design to visual design and since I am versatile in both disciplines I was easily able to translate our wireframes into visual compositions.

HOUGHTON MIFFLIN HARCOURT

Style Guide Creation & Maintenance

A style guide was also implemented during the design phase. Our design team included a developer to create a live style guide to guide the HMH team in future approaches.

Leading Enterprise Accounting Services CLIENT Leading Enterprise Digital Accountant Services

PROJECT Easing accountants’ work by filing all of their important documents, client information, messages and business statistics in one accessible software.

CONTRIBUTIONS UX/UI Consultancy, Wireframing, UI Design, Animation

DYNAMICS Solo UX/UI consultant working with the one of the division leaders. I worked off of scattered sketches, sticky note annotations and comments to provide wireframes, visual compositions, and finally an animated deck for presenting to higher stakeholders of the company. The concept was approved and then translated to international development teams.

Assets to Wireframes

Many of the assets passed to me were quick whiteboard sketches, annotated PDF’s, and sticky note photos.

ACCOUNTANT SERVICES

Wireframes to Visual Design and Animation

From the previously mentioned assets I created 20 high-fidelity visual compositions according to the company’s style guide. These compositions were then exported to Keynote to create an animated presentation for stakeholders.

Maintaining Consistency with Visual Design

Updating the visual design for a Meijer’s Pharmacy Rewards program user walkthrough. Maintaining consistency throughout the app was a huge challenge for the development teams, but with a Scaled Agile approach, we were able to set a standard and follow through with it globally.
