Heather Fulk Music
Recording As many of you know, I recorded a few songs last summer. God definitely orchestrated that entire process, from pictures to recording space. Since making that recording, I have had people from all over the U.S. listening to those songs. I have had many nonbelievers hearing the truth of Jesus, that He is beautiful, holy, and most importantly, that He is our friend. God is at work and I am so blessed to be a part of it. I am currently praying about the possibility of doing another recording, not for the sake of making money or a name for myself, but because I want people to have something to listen to that will bring them closer to Jesus. I am praying that this recording would not only contain music that people know, but the music of heaven, God’s song for His children. By that I mean I
Issue #2, April/May 2010 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 He truly is directing my paths as I follow Him! I think the most exciting opportunity that has come my way recently is the possibility of joining a missionary in our church overseas at some point to do some teaching on worship, leading times of worship, and ministering to students. I also created a fan page on Facebook so more people could be exposed to my music and people are joining! Since creating my official website (www.heatherfulk.com), I have had many believers AND non-believers listen to my music and experience Jesus! That is so exciting to me. My passion is that worship would chang people by drawing them into His presence. Experiencing Jesus transforms us and that is my prayer for those who listen to my music.
want to not only write my own songs (God willing), but I want to incorporate spontaneous worship into the album. In order to make this happen, I would need a recording space. I would also like to add more musicians to this project. I am excited to see what God is going to do!
Ireland Ireland has been the most exciting part of this new journey thus far. God opened up the door for me to go to Belfast, Ireland with a missionary from our church. The plan was for myself and the friend I co-lead with to spend a week at the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base, leading worship, teaching on worship, and in general preparing students as they prepare to go on outreach to South
Africa. God gave us 3 weeks to raise roughly $2500 and the most amazing part is that it ALL came in! It was truly God’s hand of provision. Unfortunately, we did not get to complete that mission due to the volcanic activity in Iceland. I was very sad at first, but the lessons learned were so valuable. I learned that God is truly in control of everything and I can rest in that. I learned that when He asks us to take steps of faith, as scary as they may be, He will provide. The most important lesson I learned, and am continuing to learn, is that when I say “yes” to God, I want to do that more and more. I am learning what it is to hunger and thirst after righteousness, after the will and heart of God. As scary as it is to raise support for missions and become a support raiser, it is fulfilling to be exactly where God wants. The next steps as far as working with the missionary we were invited to go to are still pending. She recently gave us 4 opportunities (Egypt, Mexico, Finland, or Russia), so I am praying about which one God wants us to take.

How can you help?
The beauty of writing a newsletter is that I get a chance to share my heart. God is moving in worship. He is moving me in worship. I believe that there is so much more in store for me, traveling, recording, and teaching. All of that is not for my gain, but rather for God’s kingdom to be released, bringing salvation and justice, empowering His people to move, and in general understanding the pleasure and delight of God. It is a beautiful thing to see people realize that God delights in us, even in the middle of our messiness. He delights in me. Wow!
For the local church where I serve, that the Lord would continue to pour out His Spirit and change lives.
For His continued guidance, both for a future recording, that God would continue to orchestrate that and for my next missions opportunity.
For continued financial provision, especially in light of another trip overseas. Praise God we got a full refund on our ticket, but a future trip may require more funding.
Financially… Thank you to those who have given. You are a blessing! My goal is to have 20 supporters of $50 by the end of the summer. Because I am a new support raisers, I only have about 3% of my goal. Please pray about how God might be leading you to support this ministry.

I believe we are in an hour of activation as the body of Christ. I am convinced that God is asking us to be passionately seeking Him and then taking that and pouring it out to others. I recently heard a song from Watermark that was so fantastic, but one phrase particularly stuck out to me and that is this: “devastated by God’s presence…” I love it! That is exactly what God is doing to me every time I spend time with Him. He is shaking off everything that hinders me from walking with Him and filling it with His love and presence. One of the cries of my heart is that people will be devastated by God’s presence, better equipped to be activated in the Kingdom of God, to be called into something bigger than themselves and to step out in faith and do God’s work.
A few highlights… I recently got the opportunity to speak on worship at Sojourn, the church I primarily serve, with the friend I co-lead worship with. You are welcome to listen to that message. Simply go to sojourncampuschurch.net/sermons and look for Mike Newland and Heather Fulk. We recently had a friend come to Christ! Jon (my husband) and I lead a home group. We invited a friend of mine that I used to work with. He has been coming regularly. He was not a believer, but through our community He began to learn about Christ and who God is. After 6 months of attending the group, He decided to ask Jesus to be Lord of his life! We were, of course, so excited! God is good! We believe there are going to be more people that will come to the group and find Jesus.
