May 2nd article
What a great time we had at the Syracuse Zoo! We had 38 people who went and enjoyed the day watching and reading about all the different animals that they had at the Zoo. We are looking forward to some nice sunny weather to be able to do some spring clean ups. This Saturday, May 5th we will either be at the Nature Center or Alex Bay Thrift Store helping them get ready for summer. We are hoping to reschedule the 4th -6th grade spring dance for May 18th Friday night from 6:30-8:30. We are going to make this a family affair. Dads can come dance with their daughters and Moms can come dance with their sons. We are looking forward to getting all the spring events permission out so you can plan your summer schedule. WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF SWIM INSTRUCTORS! We are looking for individuals interested in taking the Water Safety Instructors Course for our summer swim program. Hearts for Youth will pay for the class, all we ask is the you remain a swim instructor in our program for 2 summers(which consists of 3 weeks each summer and is a paid position. This would be in the mornings from 9 -11am, Monday – Friday. We are also looking for community members to work with us on our community garden. (Please see separate article.)
