NU-HOPE Elder Care Services in Sebring provides services to clients 60 years or older (at no-cost or for a sliding-scale fee) that are meant to enhance their lives and help them to continue living independently. The Florida Department of Elder Affairs considers this private, non-profit organization the lead agency for providing comprehensive community-based services and at-home services in Hardee and Highlands County. “Annually we provide services for over 800 seniors and their caregivers here in Highlands County alone,� said Executive Director Ingrasherese Gardner.
