MACARONI & CHEESE Ingredients: 1 Box (16 oz) elbow macaroni 4 T. butter ½ - 1 cup sour cream Salt, Pepper, garlic powder to taste 3 cups – grated cheese ( sharp, mild, blends) 1 cup cubed Colby cheese ½ cup shredded gruyere 4 eggs (slightly beaten) 2 cups heavy cream Additional milk if needed 1-2 additional cups for top of macaroni & cheese ½ parmesan (for top) • Cook macaroni al dente. Drain macaroni and put back in pot or in large bowl. Add butter, sour cream, and seasonings. Combine well. • Add shredded cheeses, cubed cheese, and gruyere. Add slightly beaten eggs and heavy cream. • Mix together well. • Mixture must have adequate liquid (liquid must be visible). If necessary, add milk.

• Place in sprayed 10 X 14 baking dish. • Spread additional cheese on top and sprinkle parmesan. Bake COVERED 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover, bake 10-20 minutes until bubbly. Do not overcook.

TRADITIONAL BREAD PUDDING WITH HARD SAUCE Ingredients: 2 Medium loaves French Bread (1 inch cubes) 6 Eggs 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 3 T. Cinnamon Dash Salt 3 cups Half & Half 1 cup Heavy Cream 2 T. Vanilla 2 cups raisins (1/2 cup set aside) • Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Allow bread to absorb all liquid. • Spray 9 X 13 deep baking dish with butter spray. Add bread pudding mixture. Sprinkle reserved raisins and press down. • Bake at 350 degree oven in WATER BATH, 45-50 minutes (or until knife inserted in center comes out clean). Heartland • Toppings: Candied pecans LIVING Sauce: 3 T. butter, 2 t. flour, 1 cup brown sugar, December 2017 ¼ cup bourbon. Stir and cook over medium heat January 2018 until sugar melts. Add ¼ cup heavy cream and remove from heat.
