“The biggest industry in Punta Gorda for 50 years was the fishing industry,” stated developer Robert “Bucky” McQueen in a 2005 article in the Chicago Tribune. McQueen owns the West Coast Fish Company Residential Cabin in conjunction with brothers Brit and Rex Goulding and their uncle, Mike Goulding. Sitting furthermost into the bay, the Residential Cabin was a bunkhouse. Though rustic, the cabin offered weary commercial fishermen shelter from the storms, a place to sleep and rainwater collected from gutters mounted on the building. The McQueen and Goulding families purchased the property in 1970 from Shug Willis. „
