• Believe in speaking your truth. Believe that it is essential to communicate clearly and truthfully from your heart. This doesn’t mean dumping on others, but delivering communication that by withholding would drag you down or ultimately hurt the relationship. • Believe in trusted confidantes. Share your health challenge with only those who are strong enough to hear the truth and those you know you can trust to hold your heart gently and with empathy. Hearing your news may make your loved one feel afraid, vulnerable and uncomfortable. Hold their hearts gently and with empathy as well. • Believe in your higher power, grace and miracles. Perhaps nothing gets in the way of healing more than believing that you are alone. Having faith that there is a powerful, loving force outside yourself, a power bigger than your ego can comprehend, a power that will support you on your healing journey. This allows you to be humble and experience beginner’s mind. “Not knowing”, turning it over to your higher power, invites new insight and miracles into your life. When you fall in love with your higher power and trust your divine connection, you will know in the core of your being that you are worthy and loveable. You will trust that your choices are for your highest good. • Believe in movement, play, creativity, laughter, joy and rest. Healing can feel like hard work. Give yourself a break. Every day! You don’t need to earn joy, rest and play. Believe that you can move your body with ease. Believe in the healing power of laughter, no matter how serious your “condition”. Believe in joy as a limitless commodity and not to be saved up until you are “healed”. • Believe in stillness. Allow a quiet environment. Turn off everything. Then listen to your believing inner healer, the part of you that’s connected with the divine, your higher power and the healing power of the universe. • Believe in “I”llness to “We”llness. You are unique and you are not. You are no less and no more than another. You truly are one with all that is. Believe that the most healing thing you can do for yourself is to heal in community. Ask for help. Offer help in service to others. Share your passion. Share your light.
