At the moment, several contacts are underway in order to build new hotels in the municipality, notably including one with 120 rooms in La Alcaidesa and another in Torrecarbonera that also includes a residential area. Of course, I shouldn´t forget about Santa María Polo Club, whose project for Los Pinos plans 200 hotel beds. Also, there is a proposal for Torreguadiaro, on land where only investment is needed, as it isn´t even necessary to modify the landuse plan. Hotel Almenara plans to increase its quality, no? The new aim is to turn this establishment into a five-star hotel, for which it plans an investment of five million Euros. In addition to the permit to revamp the existing one hundred rooms, Sotogrande SA aims to extend the number to 150 and has asked the Council to support it in terms of obtaining the relevant administrative authorizations And properties? San Roque is currently the municipality in the entire province of Cadiz where the mayor signs the most building permits and in the top three in Andalusia. When the project was presented by Marc Topiol [CEO of Sotogrande S.A and his team], some people thought he was crazy for wanting to bring a beach to the countryside, to the mountain, and turn what was going to be the tenth golf course in the municipality into a beach. Although there were indeed some difficulties, mainly in order to obtain water permits, authorization came at the end of 2017 and the complex was opened midway through July 2018 with great success. I hope that we will have the same crowds as last year, because 85 temporary jobs were created, as well as indirect employment. All of this is part of the company´s big investment plan for the municipality of San Roque... Now that you have mentioned employment again, it seems that you have managed to steer the situation at San Roque Club to attain the peace of mind of its staff. The owner of one of the villas of El Mirador found out about the project at San Roque Club and its difficulties, so the investment fund they represent purchased San Roque Club after it spent the period since last autumn in voluntary solvency proceedings. This chain of circumstances will make it possible to keep the 52 jobs at the golf course. Has the management of your government team been key to this growth of urban planning and tourism? We believe so. I hope that coming governments will continue to look after this sporting and property sector so that San Roque is a safe investment as it has been over the last four years, which has meant that so many new companies continue to commit to the municipality. Ahead of the new cycle that is beginning in May, with the municipal elections, we will continue to work with even more strength in this regard.
