Despite this disappointment, it was very heartening to see the Hall virtually full for this special concert day, thank you everyone. Reported by Sally Taylor and Alan Clayton Compiled by Mick Mason. **************************************************** Christmas Hampers As she has done for the last few years, Olive will be making up Hampers for the raffles at our Christmas Concert, and our Annual Buffet Dance on the 25th January 2014. If anyone would like to donate any items to these Hampers, would you PLEASE bring them along to the November weekend, as you can imagine, it is no good bringing them on the day of the event as the Hampers will have been completed before that date. Once again, many thanks to you all for your generosity. The Elizabeth Harrison Weekend, Saturday, 26th and Sunday, 27th October. The Saturday Dance. As with September, it was so disappointing, not only for us, but also Elizabeth, to see such a poor attendance at the dance, Only around 50 people. Again, we can only put it down to other engagements, late holidays, and in some cases illness, let's hope it picks up for Joanne Naulls weekend in November.
