Our staff is well grounded in the Word, dedicated to each other and the future success of

God's kingdom here in the Heath community and throughout the world. Another great characteristic of our church is its immense capacity to simply love and care for one another. Many times I have told those inquiring about our congregation that they will (Continued on page 2)

Modern Family (continued) This constant cultural bombardment has undermined traditional family life. All these trends and influences demonstrate that the times have changed. However, do you know one thing that has not changed over time? God’s truth and wisdom for families remains the same. God’s plans and guidelines for marriage and family are more needed and relevant than ever before. So in the weeks to come on Sunday morning we are going to turn to God’s word seeking to find solutions to the challenges facing modern families.

Mission of the Month TCM International

6337 Hollister Dr • PO Box 24560 Indianapolis, IN 46224 • www.tcmi.org TCMI was established in 1957 for church planting and radio evangelism in Toronto, Canada. They began to spread the Gospel behind the Iron Curtain in 1963. Their European base of operations, Haus Edeiweiss, near Helligenkreuz, Austria was purchased in 1971. In 1991 TCMI began the institute of Biblical Studies, now the TCM International Institute for Christian Leadership Training. On March 19, the first classes of the 2012 academic year began at Haus Edelweiss. Classes will simultaneously be taught at four in-country course locations as well. Courses that will be offered include: 2012 Courses at Haus Edelweiss  Research Methods taught by Katharina Penner  English Skills for Theological Studies taught by Bill & Sue Abegglen  Old Testament Teaching and Preaching taught by Konstantin Nazarov  The Church as Mission taught by Jozsef Steiner  Counseling Techniques taught by Ken Goble 2012 Courses at In-Country Sites  Youth & Children Ministry taught by Myron Williams, one week in Russia and one week in Belarus  Worldview & Cults taught by Mihai Malancea, in Moldova  Hermeneutics taught by Ted VanderEnde, in Romania The typical TCMI student who will be attending one of those courses is 39 years old, well educated, and involved in local ministry in his/her community—a ministry where he/she will likely remain for a lifetime. They have chosen to enroll at TCMI because the format of study allows them to continue to be fully involved in their ministry while pursuing their graduate level education. TCMI students are serving as missionaries in India, Norway, Western Europe, Afghanistan, Iraq, Siberia, Iran, Tajikistan, and Turkey. Seventy students are former Muslims. In one recent class of 33 students, 25 of them are working directly with Muslims in their countries. TCMI students and graduates are being the salt and light of God within the communities and cultures where they live, changing them for and through Christ’s message to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Faith Promise Update: Our goal for mission giving for June 2012-May 2013 is $95,189.00. As of April 29 we have pledged to give $84,784.00. We will continue to receive pledges for the next couple weeks.
