A Dermagraft® Case Study Presented by: Jake Lamb, DPM at Alton Memorial Wound Center Patient History Patient is a white male, 49 years of age, with a history of type II diabetes with neuropathy. Patient is on medication to control his blood sugars, is a nonsmoker, and is self employed as a farmer. Diagnosis Ulcer on the lower back heel of the right foot.
Wound Treatment & Outcome 6/12/09 – Wound was debrided of slough, callous and treated with Prisma 6/19/09 – Wound presented with good granulating tissue, wound was debrided and 1st application of Dermagraft was applied 7/02/09 – Wound looks good with nice granulating tissue, wound was debrided and 3rd application of Dermagraft was applied. 7/24/09 – Wound is looking real good, almost healed, wound was debrided, cleaned and prepped for 6th application of Dermagraft 7/31/09 – Wound is almost closed, wound was debrided, cleansed and prepped for 7th application of Dermagraft 8/7/09 – Wound is almost all closed, wound was debrided, cleansed and prepped for 8th application of Dermagraft 8/14/09 – Wound healed
