Sunday 9 to Sunday 16 JUNE 2013
a festival filled with
Welcome Dundee WestFest 2013 is a small but perfectly formed festival that will offer you insights into local culture and opportunities to discover more about the people and places within this vibrant community. We are pleased to announce new participants this year with film nights and open studios at Tin Roof and Generator Projects, as well as a family treasure hunt at Ninewells Arboretum. Try out a new activity at Balgay Bowling Club (with sensible shoes of course!) or get rid of your stress and strains with free yoga tasters at Heart Space - a little hidden gem in the West End. There is time to party as well, with nights of dancing and entertainment at Club Romano (watch out for the limbo competition) and Vintage Night Fever at Dundee Rep’s Bonar Hall (our fun fashion show that takes a daft look through the ages). There is lots to get you jumping and to get the brain cells going. We hope you enjoy this week and we are sure everyone will find something that is right up his or her alley. Don’t forget to look out for a chance to support the festival with our new Friends of WestFest scheme, check our website for more details. www.dundeewestfest.co.uk www.facebook.com/dundee.westfest more programme info inside

Join our family paint-a-thon and help turn The Green into a magical decorative carpet.
Feeling Competitive? Test your throwing skills in the Mercury Maia Challenge and see who can make the flying pigs go furthest!
9th June 1pm - 7pm Magdalen Green
Looking for Fun? Relax in the beer garden listening to tunes, pick up a snack at one of our excellent food stalls (not forgetting Iain Spinks famous Arbroath Smokies), and try your hand at the odd sport or two.
Let the Sun Shine!
We have asked the sun to shine. But we do live in Scotland. So we know you can cope with a little rain if it comes. Just remember to bring a brolly.
