After matriculating in 1999 I studied Personal Training through the Sports Science Institute. Once completed in 2001, I went over to the UK and Europe where I did some extensive travelling.

On my return in 2002 I enrolled in an IMM diploma at Varsity College. My first two years where on campus but I decided to continue my third year via correspondence. It was during this year I travelled to the USA where I worked on the Vail Ski Resort as a junior events coordinator, this is where I fell in love with the events industry and snowboarding.

After a season in Vail I returned I to Cape Town and was approached by a previous lecturer from Varsity College to manage a renowned local florist. In 2005 I bought over this florist and owner managed it for three and a half years. During my time as owner I was exposed to many events as a decor consultant and this is where I came in to contact with The Aleit Group, one the most prestigious wedding and event coordination companies in South Africa. After assisting with a few events I was approached by Aleit to come and work for him as a junior coordinator, where I quickly moved up to a senior coordinator position, coordinating some the most elaborate and most published weddings and events in South Africa and internationally as well lecturing marketing management at The Aleit Academy. Mid 2008 I decided to sell my florist and focus on a career in the events industry.

In 2010 Aleit offered me a shareholders opportunity in the group as a Director in a sister company, we started Just Jack. Just Jack has been running for the past two years, focusing mainly on the wedding industry. After five years with the company, over 75 weddings and numerous corporate events, I feel my time has come to move on.

I am passionate about corporate eventing and feel I have so much to offer coming from a weddings background. The attention to detail which is so often over looked at corporate level and patience learned from dealing with Brides are just some of the skills I have developed from working in the industry. I enjoy travelling and meeting new people, new experiences and facing new challenges.

I consider myself to be driven, hard working, a team player, creative and absolutely passionate about the events industry.

The past five years have been invaluable lessons learned in the industry which has definitely set me up with a solid foundation for bigger and better things.....
