Position Description: HAWA is currently looking for a full-time Hmong Domestic Violence (DV) HELPLINE Coordinator to join their team in providing oversight for the Wisconsin 24/7 Hmong DV Helpline. The 24/7 Hmong DV HELPLINE is a state-wide collaborative partnership of existing Hmong-serving organizations throughout Wisconsin in providing the Hmong community access to DV advocacy services and resources through the toll free helpline. If you are interested in the position, please carefully review the responsibilities and qualifications needed for this position. Position’s PRIMARY responsibilities include: • Oversee and coordinate the 24-Hour Hmong Domestic Violence HelpLine • Provide interpretation and translation services to victims and survivors and make necessary referrals • Keep accurate records, compile reports, and produce resource materials to support or further develop the project • Produce creative advertisement, PR, and social media that will further promote the Helpline • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to staff the HelpLine • Work closely with collaborating service providers and Hmong-serving organizations throughout WI to foster open communication and promote strong DV network • Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements: • Education level: BS/BA in Social Work or related field preferred • Ability to communicate effectively in both Hmong and English • Understanding of Domestic Violence and its impact on the Hmong community • Ability to successfully manage and oversee volunteers • Ability to work well on a team • At least 2-3 years of providing direct services to Hmong clients
